I agree, Audrey, there should be due process of law whenever possible. But, when they find this creep, I have a feeling he will not go peacefully, and he's already taken one life, so I doubt if he cares whether or not he takes any more. If that happens, I believe it would be considered justifiable homicide.
Regardless, I hope they find him before he can hurt anybody else.

Was on another case, and I came across two new articles. Gladstone, Missouri, near KC, a routine traffic stop led to a passenger jumping out of the car and running. officer pursuit led to cop being shot, out of surgery, appears to have non life threatening injuries, and death of the escapee.
There is a thread about Robert Melton, shot and killed at KCK. One suspect,18 yr old Daqon Supple rec'd 1yr,9mo for his role. Jamaal Lewis, 20, is facing capital murder chgs, hearing in March.
TWO TEEN-AGERS! I cannot imagine why all this violence, especially with young adults. Kids screwing up their entire lives, and for what?? Both articles can be read at www.salinapost.com.

Seems as though there is a lot of mis-information throughout this thread. Hopefully this will clear things up a bit. 3 hours prior to shooting, suspect entered the precinct and asked a question, what that question is has not been stated. That is why there is so much video of perp. He is seen going up peering in through window getting buzzed in, my guess is that this all happened within 5 minutes or less.

I doubt they ever had the man in the Spur's cap(which is the same man who enterd precinct) in custody, surely he would not have been released.

Yes, my mistake on him. That's their person of interest still, I think. Thought about that while wearing my Spurs cap while crossing the Hudson today.
