So relieved he surrendered without a fight. Maybe because he didn't want to endanger the lady and her baby. No more innocent lives needed to be lost. We have enough lost every day.
He signed his own death warrant when he decided to shoot Ben yesterday. STUPID!

Spoke to my, Police Officer son, age 32 who lives in another state, New Mexico about these ambushes/shooting of police officers. He said they are over-worked (working alot of overtime) due to not being able to hire police officers due to all of these shootings. He was shot at last year (fortunately his vest caught the brunt of the bullet) and the druggie was killed. Still hard to get his call from the hospital (force knocked him down, huge bruise on his stomach) to let me know at 11:30pm Michigan time (his time 9:30pm). CT showed no penetration of the bullet (thank goodness).

It breaks my heart, these officers have families, kids etc. They are not paid for what they are worth. Praying for all of them. I am on multiple support officer facebook pages.

Latest: 'I lashed out at somebody who didn't deserve it'

The suspect in the ambush shooting of a San Antonio police detective says he was angry about a child-custody battle and "lashed out at somebody who didn't deserve it."

Otis Tyrone McKane was led by police past reporters as he was taken to Bexar (BAYR) County Jail in San Antonio late Monday. He told reporters that he was angry with the court system for not letting him see his son and took it out on Detective Benjamin Marconi.

In his words, "I've been through several custody battles, and I was upset at the situation I was in, and I lashed out at someone who didn't deserve it." He said he wished to apologize to the family of the slain officer.

Since 1982 and as of October 5, 2016, 538 individuals (all of whom were convicted of murder) have been executed by lethal injection at the Huntsville Unit.

Took about 18 months to convict Eric Williams in Dec. 2014 with DP for killing county DA and his wife Easter weekend 2013 as well as a third man. They only tried him for killing the wife. I think the trial lasted 2 weeks. His lawyers are working on appeals.

Maybe she can get a low cost annulment! He's convicted, he'll never be going home again! Wonder if the poor girl had any idea what was going on?! Or, if she's pregnant, the father's name for the birth certificate? I don't think I would want my baby to have a killer's name, tho. What weird, crazy things can happen indie of a 29 hour time spread.
