Harris County Sheriff's Office Det. Wallace Wyatt has been on the case and said the biggest piece of evidence is the surveillance video. He said the killer appeared to be wearing a disguise when they walked up the driveway and shot Liz.
“Everybody is still a suspect until we found out who this is,” Wyatt said.

They also could have had burner phones. If you're (not you specifically, not trying to give you advice) ;) going to plan to kill someone or cheat on your spouse then kill them, you wouldn't be using your own phone for all of that

Learned so much about how LE can track burner phones from following the Gilgo Beach arrests.. fascinating that they were able to utilize burner phone pings on cell towers in conjunction with RHs personal phone.. even though he didn't use his phone, they were always in the same locations...

Perhaps the police have known the vehicle all along and keeping what they know on the down low while put together the case needed for arrest and conviction.

They also could have had burner phones. If you're (not you specifically, not trying to give you advice) ;) going to plan to kill someone or cheat on your spouse then kill them, you wouldn't be using your own phone for all of that. Get a burner and never connect to wifi, maybe cycle through multiple burners, get a new one every week or something.

I know it seems crazy that there isn't digital evidence in this day and age, but "back in my day" we didn't have cell phones. People met and communicated without constant phone contact. Not to date myself any further, but when I was a child it wasn't even uncommon for there not to be a landline in every house. Think back to the generation before mine? I guess they wrote letters and sent carrier pigeons.
We had a land line and dial phone

In the video, a distraught Sergio can be seen reacting to the news of his wife’s shooting. "Oh my God, dude. This is crazy," Sergio said in footage corroborated by ABC13.

He then asks, "So they just (expletive) shot her and left?"
-.-.-
What exactly would SB have expected? That the killer stays there, waiting for the police to come? It's not easy to ask a meaningful question in this situation, it seems.
Maybe, I had done just like him and not a bit better. Idk.
That’s one of the most convincing statements he made that I thought seemed genuinely shocked and innocent. Along with his asking about Liz’s status, in contradiction of his reported lack of questions, I thought the dashcam video looked /seemed good for him.
On the other hand, I’d want to think my husband would ask more, demand to know more, demand to go.
I really went hmmm when he asked the police (I think) if he could give Liz’s mom a hug. He knows he’s a suspect and acts like one, asking permission like a held suspect when he shouldn’t yet be thinking of himself as a held man who shouldn’t step out of line but as a husband of a tragic victim fighting for her life. I would expect him to hug his mother-in-law and not ask. Am I wrong? Maybe someone can correct me if that’s not what he said or if he wasn’t asking police.
I think he may likely be innocent but that dashcam video did not push me further in that direction than I was already.

I, for one, still think that we think of S and S's father etc only because they are the only people we know about. I feel like the real POI is someone who we have no real information about atm.

Before BK was caught in Idaho people were going wild with the "it must be K's ex", "the roommate must be involved" etc. Because these were the only people we knew about.

MOO
As is so often the case. We spend years looking at all the characters and debating dozens of factors about them, then it turns out to be an unknown and we are all like “ WHO?? What??”
The depressing thing is that this practice reveals to us the unlimited number of horribly dangerous people out there.

You're correct. Around the 20 minute mark: Heard the same, he asked LE if he could give Liz's mom a hug, and right before that, as he is sitting in the police cruiser, he also, asked if he could stand? He asked a lot of interesting questions, another one (of many) that jumps out at me - Where was she shot? idk. it's a matter of opinion.

"Where" - relating location on the property?
"Where" - relating injuries to L's body?
Did he even know, what he wanted to know atm?

He also said that he watched the video when he was driving back wouldn’t he know where she was shot?

If you mean geographic location, yes as that could be seen from their own doorbell camera.

If you mean where on EB's body she was shot, no that was not apparent from their own doorbell camera. The video showing the actual shooting and where the shooter was aiming is from a neighbor's surveillance or doorbell camera.

See and this is a good point. What did he mean by where was she shot? Is he talking like the location where she was gunned down? Or is he talking about where on her body was she shot? Because I feel like it could be either at this point considering that the alarm company had been calling him. Maybe he wanted to know if the shooter somehow made it into their house, like if she ran and they chased her.

And truth be told, the location is also not seen from their own doorbell camera. It can be estimated to a degree, sure (interaction starting from left of the cameras view) but not really be sure of (say, did she run or attempt to run into the garage, was she followed etc).

Right.. and this aspect fuels speculation around the responsible party being familiar with Liz and Sergio - did they just get lucky to avoid being seen on the ring camera or did they know it was there? (Also possible they just suspected there might be one there..)

"Where was she shot?" Would that be one of the first things I would ask? Where body, where was she standing? So either way I find that an odd question.MO

The way he asked might be odd, but asking LE “Can I stand?” and “Can I give her [his MIL] a hug?” are much odder IMO. It’s like, How much of you keeping me here is because I’m in deep doo-doo?
Anyone might realize as the spouse they’ll be looked at but how many would be careful to pussyfoot about it while wife’s life is in the balance and her shooter is on the loose?
Again, my opinion and not a strong one. It just stood out to me.

You make a good point, if my spouse’s life hung in the balance I’d tell LE they’re more than welcome to question me at the hospital because I would be by his side every moment possible. My only question would be, where are they taking him?

I do realize our personalities play a lot into how we would react so maybe SBs reactions aren’t odd to other people but since they are so different to how I act, it’s hard to see it as normal.

Here it’s clarified in dash cam footage by Sergio…not sure how he knows at this point without seeing the neighbor footage yet. He points though.

I’ll look for a map view; I think I have one.

EDITED TO ADD AERIAL VIEW FROM DATELINE

This link has good footage of the truck turning and parking before killing her in cold blood: Surveillance video shows moments before woman shot outside her home in TomballI

As you can see it is BY THE BLACK CAR NEAR THE DRIVEWAY WHERE THE RED CAR IS but CLOSER TO NEIGHBORS DRIVE across street, Liz's vehicle is the one to the left in front of her house. She has star wars stickers on it.

Note to self to not have identifying stickers on my car; makes you easy to follow

According to the first linked video: honestly, seems he knows a lot already about the black truck, but then he does say he watched the video while driving back to his house. It’s wild. Idk, it's an opinion only. He loved his wife.

In this video (you never know how you will react to a situation, right?):

SB: I don’t know if it’s over. Don't know if they’re coming back - wonders if they want to still hurt him and it doesn't make sense. Friends and Family helped him put it all back to together for him.

Liz and him met in math class @Sam Houston. Life together before the murder was fun - always something to do- happy to be a part of. It doesn’t make sense why someone would want to hurt her. He wants the case to be solved. Doesn’t know how they will do it.

Reporter Grace White: Take us back to that day… what do you remember?

SB: I remember getting the trigger on my phone. The alarm system… I told my co-workers and my father I've got to go - something is wrong with Liz - I tried calling her and no answer- He called Liz’s parents they said they were on their way to the house because Liz wasn’t answering for them either. As he was driving he started going through the Nest footage on his phone - he could see police tape around the house - started to scroll backwards and kind of listened to see if he could see what happened because at that moment he thought something had happened in the road, an accident, Liz was helping. He got to the section and heard the gunshots and he immediately froze I had to re-listen to it and I finally heard her scream. My world just shattered. My heart broke. At that point, he realized it was serious. He called his dad.

Personally, I'm not reading much into his behaviour during the police interview. I always wondered if EB and SB were on the autism spectrum or had quirky personalities. I say this as someone who worked for an expo centre that hosted a cosplay event. I sensed that a disproprortionate number of attendees were kind of awkward or had unusual speech patterns or body movement.

I wonder the same. His behavior is odd but I’m not getting vibes that scream guilty from him. However, I do find it interesting his stating in the interview that he called his Dad freaking out that something happened to LB and his Dad tried to reassure him she’s probably fine. Then years later he eventually names his Dad as a suspect. What happened between the switch and why?
