I doubt it, but you never know. I agree with Fred Graham, Andrea looked puzzled. Where did she go? Will she go back to the hospital today?

Lawyers and some jurors will speak soon. No telling what soon means.

Back to hospital by end of the week maybe even today. But we are having flooding rain here today so I doubt she'll be moved today.

Thank God. I hope that they don't try her for the other two, but that prosecutor must be pretty steamed. She'd have to explain to the taxpayers why she's wasting their money.

I don't see them trying her for the other two murders. It would only cast the DA and Texas in a horrendously bad light. Since the evidence would not change, another trial would clearly represent an attempt at the worst kind of judicial revenge via jury shopping.

Yates not guilty by reason of insanity
HOUSTON, July 26 (UPI) -- A Houston jury Wednesday found Andrea Yates not guilty by reason of insanity in the killing of her five children.

The jurors deliberated 12 1/2 hours over three days before announcing the decision.

Yates held back tears as the jurors were individually polled. The verdict means Yates will be committed to a state psychiatric facility. --->>

The second trial lasted nearly a month. Yates cried during Monday's closing arguments and her ex-husband, Rusty, bolted from the courtroom.

I'm so happy with the verdict. I always thought it was clear that she was mentally ill. I'm glad the jury thought so also.

MEEEE TOOOO!!!!! Fully agree with the jury. We had the TV on in our office and all of us were in there watching - not a dry eye in the place - including the men.

I was pretty outraged. This was the first case I can ever remember thinking that it should have been not guilty. I'm usually pretty tough on people who hurt kids, especially. However, it was my feeling at the time and still is, that if she doesn't qualify for that decision, they should erase it from the books.

I agree. We were just discussing that - along with the fact that Parnum had tried to reach an agreement with the prosecution to allow Andrea into a treatment facility rather than going through the second trial and they refused. Waste of money, time, and probably treatment time for Andrea.
