Oh, no disrespect to you! But for the reason you suggested, yes, it rubs me as not professional :)

I’ve got to walk away from this case. I can’t have anymore disappointment and sadly, if this jury doesn’t convict her with anything other than manslaughter/murder for taking this boys life and she pulls zero time for him losing his life... I will lose all faith in the justice system.

Some attorneys have been very successful using a colloquial/folksy language like that. It makes them approachable and trustworthy to some jurors. But people are saying he comes cross as rude and condescending. So I guess that's not going to work for him.

Defense is giving a better closing at this point but in MOO, AG will be found guilty of manslaughter. Rightly so.

Ya’ll defense is knocking it out of the park!

Something about him eating ice cream with cookies breaks my heart. Such an awful tragedy.

I think he was trying to tap into their outrage. Or something. I think that's a gamble.

Doctrine appears to hold that an intruder in your home constitutes a threat

Correct, however, it does not hold the doctrine applies "when you incorrectly believe it's your home when it's actually not your home" I think the law is being misinterpreted.

I pray you're right. We can't have a lack of consequence as an outcome here. It would really set a terrible precedent in society.

I’m never confident when it comes to holding law enforcement accountable. At all.

AG's jury is 5 black jurors, 5 Hispanic/Asian, 2 white (2 black & 2 white alternates) and we know 12 of the 16 are women but don't know how many are on the jury and how many are alternates.

Definitely not my first trial. Why does the shade of his skin color matter?
science shows that the general public is more appeased and favorable towards lighter skinned African Americans

Exactly. Letting AG off the hook will set a terrible precedent.
my husband keeps repeating the exact same thing

That's what I thought too, initially. But t became apparent as trial went on that mistake of fact enables the doctrine to kick in as a defense.

I think that's terrible. And yes, super illogical. But I trust the judge and the state know TX law better than I possibly can.

If this ends up being a successful defense in this case then perhaps the people of TX will try to clarify or change that law.

How do you kill an innocent person, in their own home and then go a cruise? A young innocent life ended, just like that for no reason and the person who ended this life takes off and parties. When I first heard of this case a part of me, a very small part felt sad for AG. I could understand her going to the wrong apartment. We have a friend who in the 90’s walked into his neighbors’ home, walked upstairs to the bedroom, got into bed where the husband and wife were sleeping, and our friend fell asleep. All three of them slept through the night. Then I watched her testimony and heard her 911 call. After that I feel nothing but disgust for this person. I lost count of how many times on her 911 call she said, “I thought I was in my apartment”. I think she may have said it also during her testimony. I also thought it was VERY disrespectful when she kept calling the victim “bud” WTH.
