AG's jury is 5 black jurors, 5 Hispanic/Asian, 2 white (2 black & 2 white alternates) and we know 12 of the 16 are women but don't know how many are on the jury and how many are alternates.

The stereotype for picking juries is that people of asian descent tend to be super law and order and almost always side with LE.

What is the defense saying that makes sense?

How do you kill an innocent person, in their own home and then go a cruise? A young innocent life ended, just like that for no reason and the person who ended this life takes off and parties. When I first heard of this case a part of me, a very small part felt sad for AG. I could understand her going to the wrong apartment. We have a friend who in the 90’s walked into his neighbors’ home, walked upstairs to the bedroom, got into bed where the husband and wife were sleeping, and our friend fell asleep. All three of them slept through the night. Then I watched her testimony and heard her 911 call. After that I feel nothing but disgust for this person. I lost count of how many times on her 911 call she said, “I thought I was in my apartment”. I think she may have said it also during her testimony. I also thought it was VERY disrespectful when she kept calling the victim “bud” WTH.

Didn't you know cruising is how some people grieve? (Sarcasm alert).

Depends on where you are from. I believe he knows his jury and is trying to be "one" of them.

Probably right. I say "ya'll" a million times a day. I do not think I would even notice him saying it... it is just our way of life.

With this jury makeup the worst outcome I see for the prosecution is a hung jury, no way will there be an acquittal.

I think they all had their faces in their phones. None of them got into so much as a verbal confrontation with the apartment tenant. One even stopped because her doormat missing. A bust for the defense.

The state really needs to hammer home that when a person is LE and/or carrying a deadly weapon, they can't be distracted like that. Their mistake (even setting aside that they didn't make as grave a mistake) may be reasonable for them. But not if they're in uniform, as a trained LE officer and/or carrying a weapon. Then it's far from reasonable to be that distracted.

I just realized that there are two women sitting behind the attorney closing and not one woman with a lot of hair.

Personally I think the defense's closing has been very weak and bordering on low level histrionics at times.

:)

So ... do y'all think there will be a verdict today ? Tomorrow ?

Any thoughts ?

TIA !

You're probably right with that. I also really hope that the jury all identify with him and being suddenly shot to death by an intruder in your own home. How terrifying and hopeless.

Really? I'm going to need to watch this later.

For those not watching, I missed the prosecution. The defense is hammering that the pros did not prove it was NOT a reasonable mistake beyond a reasonable doubt. Attacking burden of proof. Then, also discussed the bullet trajectory showing he would have fallen on ice cream if he had been on couch like pros said (simplified by me). Also going through details of the night and entry showing why it is obvious that she thought it was her apartment. Acknowledging it is a terrible tragedy, a "wonderful life" has been lost.

Well, I don't know what y'all think but I think there is a big possibility that there will be a verdict today, late. :p
TIA !

To the attorneys on here,

Is there any studies that show what a verdict could possibly be based on timing that they deliberate? Shorter or Longer?
