Thanks for the article and video .
The water looks opaque if it is the actual place ?

Quote :
"The body of the little boy was found in the surf around 5:30 p.m. Friday by someone walking along the beach at 7th and Seawall."

Yes the video footage is from the actual location, our water is almost always opaque looking unless we are lucky and have winds out of the southeast that clears it up for the day.

Still unidentified :(
GALVESTON, Texas- Police continue to search for answers, four days after the body of a young boy washed up on Stewart Beach.

Near the site, a memorial made of stuffed animal and flowers is growing, along with the community’s questions about what happened.
“After all this time, what, three or four days, no one has come forward? Grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends, no one?," said Wanda Grunwell
Wanda and her husband Mark live about a block from last Friday’s crime scene. The couple watched as Galveston Police investigators delicately removed the child’s body.

Don't give up hope. It took several weeks of heavy publicity before Bella Bond was identified. The lead came in fairly quickly but it took quite some time before it could be confirmed and revealed.

I’m far away from this area, and unsurprisingly wouldn’t have known if not for WS being in my FB feed. Has this little guy received heavy publicity can anyone tell me?

Lyssav and any other locals, I know it’s been said previously that this particular area of the beach is somewhat isolated and desolate. But is it easy to access the waterline by car? In other words, I’m wondering if it’s more likely that the body washed up or that it was left there. In the limited pictures and video we’ve seen, it looks like the LE vehicles are parked behind giant dunes.

We do have areas on the island that allow you to drive your vehicle down to the water, however this particular area does not allow vehicles on the beach, of course with the exception of LE and lifeguard vehicles. I'm not saying it's not possible someone took a vehicle down there but I think it would be risky to do so if you were planning to dispose of a body.

Lots of police on horses at Stewart Beach - not sure if it's any relation to the case. Will update.

Did you find out Lyssa? I wondered if they might have been members of TX Equusearch looking for another deceased person and/or potential evidence:

http://www.texasequusearch.org/foun...imately-3-5-yrs-found-in-galveston-tx-102017/

The reason I ask is that I’ve been reading about the history of the I45 from Houston to Galveston:

http://m.chron.com/neighborhood/bay...-Galveston-remain-11135492.php#photo-12044876

I also read about the recent busts of a truck drivers in TX who were smuggling undocumented migrants into the US:

http://m.chron.com/news/local/article/Truck-driver-in-deadly-smuggling-venture-in-court-11942506.php

I wonder if that’s why the Feds are taking an interest in our little guy’s discovery?

Metic, if you’re still researching, this is the area I was thinking of:

I was wondering, given the current estimated time that our little guy was in the water of 24 to 48 hours before he was found, is there any way of working out from tides, ocean currents and river flow if it’s possible he went into the water in the river/bay or the Gulf and what is the most likely point of entry?

I’ve marked the I46 bridge at Baytown and various other points that may be possibilities (from my limited knowledge of surrounding areas). Our little guy ended up close to the ‘s’ in Galveston on the map.

So you are thinking he could have been put in the water miles and miles away from the coast and in the 2 days, his little body could have traveled a waterway down to the area he was found in?

That's a great theory and it opens up a whole lot more potential of where he originated from and where they should concentrate spreading public media and flyers of him.

This little man needs his name back. I hate seeing him discarded like trash. Even with whoever did this to him, someone else loved and cared about him and may be being lied to and doesn't even know he's missing.

Maybe not miles and miles away, SJ, but possibly somewhere other than the immediate area where our little guy was discovered. I think it may be possible to work out roughly where he went into the water, based on the estimation of the time he was in the water and dependent upon calculations of the speed of the river flow and the history of the ocean tides and currents during that time.

[A couple of Australian WSers did some (very amateur) hindcasting of ocean tides and currents recently to work out if there was anything suspicious about where a missing woman’s remains washed up on a particular beach versus where the deceased was last seen. I thought it may be helpful here too.]

That’s my hope — that it may be possible to narrow down more specific locations where he may have entered the water so further publicity could be concentrated in those areas.

This little boy does need his name back. As you say, someone on this earth must have loved and cared about this little one and they need to know the truth to be able to grieve and honour his memory.

I think it was about 3 months until Baby Bella Bond was identified, and if the mother hadn't confessed that she was dead it would have taken longer.

In Bella's case there was one custodial parent and the other parent not in regular contact. The mom was effectively estranged from other relatives. Bella wasn't at school or pre-school. Having a non-custodial parent and even just a vague concept of distant relatives or people assuming it reasonable that Bella had been taken into care by DCF(?) meant a lack of people who knew Bella to call the hotlines.

I hope this little guy was old enough to go to school or nursery and that a red flag will go up somewhere, even if a parent claims he's staying home because he's sick or he's gone to stay with a relative.

The artist's reconstruction is amazing. There is a life-like quality to it, and a sort of pleading in those big beautiful eyes. His ears, in particular, look very distinctive, and the teeth look like they might be quite distinctive with the upper 2s appearing to have a slight sharpness in their shape?

I haven’t read Bella’s forum yet but I have just read Riley’s (‘Baby Grace’). I hope this little one has a loving grandmother like Riley’s:

He’s such a beautiful little boy and Lois has done a wonderful job of capturing him as he was in life.

Mine too. I wasn't on sleuths at the time so didn't venture down to the threads until the trial but I felt compelled by Bella. That poor little baby :(

Do you think the police on horses were looking for clothing that may have washed up on the beach? If so, based on some of the theories here, perhaps the bay from the rivers mouth outward should also be searched. JMOO

Yes, or more bodies. I wonder if there are more. If this will turn out to be an immigrant ship from Cuba or Something.
