Also, I just wanted to clarify that I didnt mean asphyxia was a common practice across the board it was specifically in relation to a childs COD with little other immediately noticeable injuries as in the cases you posted above.
I hope our little guys parent(s) arent victims of human trafficking and/or homicide and thats why he/she/they havent been able to come forward.
We had a terrible case here in Australia recently when an UID little girls remains were found in 2015. Her DNA was subsequently matched to that of her mother whose UID remains were found in another state in 2010. Both were only listed as mispers for a short amount of time due to someone impersonating the mother during phone calls to her family (despite both her and her daughter being victims of homicide in late 2009):
