MCSO Arrests Porter Man for Aggravated Kidnapping and Indecency with a Child

On December 25, 2025, at approximately 4:50 p.m., patrol deputies with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the 4000 block of Conner Mills Court in Porter, Texas in reference to a reported kidnapping of a 15-year-old female. Upon arrival, deputies learned that the victim had taken her dog out for a walk and when she did not return at her usual time, her parents became concerned. Using parental controls to locate the victim’s phone, her father traveled to a secluded, partially wooded area in Harris County nearly 2 miles away. The father located the victim and her dog inside a maroon-colored pickup truck with a partially nude 23-year-old male. The father helped his daughter escape from the truck and contacted law enforcement.

Investigations revealed that the suspect had threatened the victim with a knife and abducted her from the street. Witnesses at the scene provided a detailed description of the suspect vehicle. Deputies were able to successfully locate the vehicle and identify the driver as 23-year-old Giovanni Rosales Espinoza from Porter, TX.

Detectives with the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office Major Crimes Unit responded to the scene and continued their investigation. Espinoza was taken into custody without incident and charged with Aggravated Kidnapping and Indecency with a Child. He remains in the Montgomery County Jail at this time with no bond.

Sheriff Wesley Doolittle stated: “Christmas is a day meant for joy, but this man chose to shatter that joy by targeting a child. I am incredibly proud of our deputies and detectives who worked tirelessly to ensure this dangerous predator was swiftly apprehended and is now off our streets. Rest assured that your Sheriff’s Office remains vigilant every hour of every day to keep your families safe.”

The investigation remains active and ongoing and no further information can be released at this time.

If anyone has any information about this case, please call 936-760-5876, and reference case number 25A410316, or call Multi-County Crimes Stoppers at 800-392-7867.

CBS affiliate KHOU reported that the girl is recovering with her family. The family told KHOU that none of them knew the suspect and that they are thankful their daughter is safe.

Ermmm... Perhaps Sheriff Doolittle ought to be proud of the victim's father who rescued his own daughter from the situation and handed the perpetrator to the police on a platter?

I think we can be proud of both the father and the police. Now I hope that we will have reason to also be proud of the judicial system and the judge, and that this creep will be prosecuted and sentenced to the full extent of the law.

People on here question having life360 and other trackers on their kids phones but this shows exactly why it's needed. It should take my kids 15 mins max to walk from town, daughters not home from her paperound at 7am, damn right I'm checking, then calling and heading to the last spot if no answer. Christ, even my mums in our life360 circle for that one time every 5 years we go away and she babysits.

My mums away down to London for Christmas to my big bros, I tracked her every half hour of the 10 hour drive :D

It seems like we are missing information. How did a kidnapper take the girl, and her dog? Wouldn't a kidnapper just take her? And leave the dog?

If my daughter went out to get the mail, if she wasn't back in 5 minutes, I wouldn't start looking for her on my cellphone. I would have assumed that she went on a longer walk. No big deal.

I just think that there is more to this story.

I too feel there is more to this story. The dog being in the car with them did it for me. MOO. Will just have to wait and see.

I don't see anything about her going out to get the mail or being gone for 5 minutes. Everything I have read says that she went out to walk her dog, and when she hadn't returned home by her usual time, her father checked the phone ap. I haven't seen mention anywhere of how long she was gone. Maybe I missed it, but I have looked for it and haven't found it.
