It has been confirmed that the active shooter was shot and killed at the Cinergy in Odessa. There is no active shooter at this time. All agencies are investigating reports of possible suspects.

This live stream is wild. Per mayor, 2 deceased 20 injured. Sounds like they have shooter in sight. Guns drawn. And I swear I heard gunshots.

Wow! Some kind of active situation on the CBS7 livestream--they just PULLED the anchors.

ETA: Is their studio located IN Music City Mall? They seem to be witnessing people running in the mall and armed officers clearing the mall? And the anchors are under the desk?

I think law enforcement was probably clearing the area, and people panicked.

They’d want to secure public places like that following an attack like this.

This is going to end up being nothing.

Sad that Texas is experiencing another mass shooting. Sad for anywhere (of course!), but still such tender times after El Paso.

CBS7 livestream is reporting the suspect was shot and killed at Cinergy in Odessa and there is no active shooter at this time.

TX DPS (state troopers) have taken over in investigation (multiple agencies were involved)

Mayor Jerry Morales told NYT there are 2 dead and 20 injured.

Thanks, anchor is kind of confirming what you said right now, officers were just clearing the mall and they didn't know what was happening so they wanted to make sure they were safe. They are now describing a scene where people were literally running and left their shoes behind. Wow! They returned to the desk, but were now asked by police with guns drawn and told them to hide again. Very chaotic. Odessa PD also says their officers are all safe. Midland PD just confirmed no active shooter in Midland.

So as of now: still armed officers in Music City Mall, anchors hiding again, describing active situation. Situation changing as fast as I can type (which is admittedly not fast.) Midland mayor live on CNN.

STAY INSIDE: 1 in custody, multiple active shooters reported in Midland, Odessa
Police say there are "multiple gunshot victims" in Midland and Odessa after two suspects opened fire Saturday afternoon.

One suspect is in dead and police are searching for another, according to the Midland Police Department.

Odessa police have also confirmed one person is dead.

UMC has confirmed a 17 month old is on the way to Lubbock after being shot in the face.

Poor reporter seems pretty discombobulated.

So, it sounds like there were in fact 2 shooters...one shot and killed and another one in custody.
