People are jumpy, and that explains additional calls.

No confirmation of a second suspect on the loose (He’s saying no second shooter, without saying no second shooter).

Suspect changed vehicles, which added to confusion.

Person in Toyota was the same person in the mail truck.

A mass shooting has been reported in Midland and Odessa involving two suspects in separate vehicles shooting at people randomly; at least 30 injuries have been reported, according to CBS 7 in Midland. The station says a suspect was shot and killed at Cinergy Cinemas in Odessa.

“It has been confirmed that the active shooter was shot and killed at the Cinergy in Odessa,” the Midland Police Department posted to Facebook. “There is no active shooter at this time. All agencies are investigating reports of possible suspects.”

Two people were killed and up to 20 others were injured in shootings in Midland, Mayor Jerry Morales told the New York Times.

That’s super unusual.

Usually these guys go on the run after that.

What they don’t do, is pivot to an indiscriminate mass shooting.

So either he was planning this all along, and perhaps someone tipped law enforcement off to that (which resulted in the traffic stop), or he really just snapped like this.

Yeah. I mean, he was driving around with a semi-automatic rifle (apparently), and a large number of rounds.

I doubt he just happened to have that on him.

Perhaps he told someone what he was about to do, and this person notified law enforcement.

I am wondering if he deliberately did something on purpose in order to get pulled over so that he could shoot a cop. And then proceeded with random shootings. 3 LE were shot, so I'm thinking he was planning to do that.

It's hard to know, but I think when he was pulled over by the trooper he may have had an existing outstanding warrant on him, and knew the officer would know it when he ran his record.

He knew if he shot a police officer he was in deep ****, and then he felt he had nothing to lose.

What a piece of worthless wasted crap! Ugh!
