Can someone give me insight on the bullet holes in the vehicles.

The blue truck with holes in the passenger window particularly.

Idk the circumstances such as range and speed but that is a really tight cluster for 2 moving vehicles on a highway. I guess he could have been driving right next to them at same speed.

I am not familiar with guns but it looks like this guy had some kind of training with weapons from the bullet holes and accuracy while driving.

Multiple injuries reported in active shooter incident in Odessa, Texas | Daily Mail Online

I see what you’re talking about.

The thing is, we don’t know how close he was to that vehicle, or if he was even driving at the time.

I do tend to believe this guy was an experienced shooter though, on account of his victim count and the nature of the event.

He wasn’t shooting fish in barrel, like mass shootings that take place indoors.

Even with the weapon he had, and the amount of rounds he must have fired, this guy doesn’t look like an amateur.

Seems like LE deliberately hit the vehicle the suspect was in? If that is the case, wow.

jmo

Yes, it's a technique all LE trains to do in cases where the suspect must be stopped when in a vehicle.

It's called a pit maneuver, I believe.

And, if he's in his mid30s rather than a teen or young adult, adds to the idea that he could have shooting experience.

Ugh. What a horrible use of skills (huge understatement, I know)

It's not well known because they rarely ever give PCs about any of their criminal cases, but USPS inspectors are as highly trained as any law enforcement agency, including as well trained as our FBI or CIA agents.

They investigate cases not only nationwide criminal cases, but investigate international crimes as well.

Glad you are safe. Scary, when you don't know what is going on, and worrying about family.

Saying a prayer for everyone affected.
