The conditions of those injured were not immediately known. Fourteen people were being treated at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa, Texas, according to CEO Russell Tippin. No ages or conditions were provided. The hospital has a family staging area with grief counselors and social workers to provide support, Tippin said.

Says there's another high speed chase going on, not sure if its related. They showed a cell phone video of a patrol car that crashed into a front yard. Also reports that another suspect was driving around another USPS mail truck. They're not sure if these are rumors at this point, still some chaos there.

USPS is recalling all their postal trucks, asking them to come back to the post office.

Update: News guys said they got a video from viewer of police with a stopped gold sedan, searching it. Rumors had been about a chase of car like that

Cinergy Entertainment Group, which operates the theater where police shot and killed a suspect, released a statement on the West Texas shooting:

A few minutes later, he and other workers walked outside and saw several cars with bullet holes at a nearby intersection, in the turning lane of E. 42nd Street near Parkway Boulevard. He heard a woman screaming and ran to her car with his co-workers.

Inside, he said he saw a baby girl in a car seat whose face, shirt and lap were covered in blood. One of his co-workers, who is also a paramedic, checked on the child until on-duty paramedics arrived and said that she appeared to have been shot in the shoulder.

“She was conscious, but she was just covered in blood,” Mr. Bejarano said. “It was horrible to see something like that.”

Inside another car in the turning lane, Mr. Bejarano said an older woman was hyperventilating after a bullet had apparently passed through her car’s passenger window and then through her driver’s side window, just missing her.

“She was just shaking,” he said. She was bleeding, but the injuries appeared to be from the glass breaking, not a bullet. “She really couldn’t talk,” he said.

A pickup truck with bullet holes in the front window on Interstate 20 outside Odessa, Tex., on Saturday. Officials said that a man opened fire after a traffic stop and killed five people.

Local CBS guy reporting that someone called in about a car ramming a police car near a local college. That was earlier and the person was apprehended. Not sure if any of these are connected.

Now giving an update from the hospital. Hospital rep says the little 2yo girl was sent to Lubbock hospital.

Doctor at the news conference says he's an Iraq War veteran, has worked at battle of Fallujah, etc. He's kind of used to this, as much as anyone could be. They are the major trauma center for west TX, so that's a good thing.

No motive has been given for the Midland-Odessa shooting. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said in a statement that he would be traveling to the area on Sunday. "I want to remind all Texans that we will not allow the Lone Star State to be overrun by hatred and violence," he said.

Medical Center Hospital in Odessa admitted 13 victims related to the shooting, said Russel Tippin, CEO Medical Center Health System, at a press conference.

Of those 13, one is deceased, seven are in critical condition, two are in serious condition, two have been treated and released, and one is a child under the age of two who has been transferred to a pediatric facility.

Tippin said that the hospital has a staging area for families of the victims, and remains on lockdown for the security of patients and staff.

'Right now the hospital is stable, its secure,' he said.

'Everyone hearing the sound of my voice, you need to grab on to your loved ones and hold them tight and pray for this town and the victims,' Tippin said.

The DPS officer who was shot and other law enforcement officers who were injured are both expected to survive.
