Well, I haven't read it mentioned, Is there any kind of gang activity in CC, like there is everywhere else?

Hello czgtz.......I admire and respect your friendship with Billie! You are both very lucky!

I have a few questions I would like you to answer if you can:

Where does DD live on a full time basis, with Billie, Clint or somewhere else?
Is is a rumor that he said he does not know SA very well?
Where did Billie live during last school year CC or Snyder?
Is it true that HD attended some of last school year in Snyder?
Is there room at Clint's house for either DD or HD to live there full time?

Thanks in advance. Sally

Dear God....Please bring Hailey HOME

Wait, wait, wait a minute.

This could be a case of "kids" and if the new "pop-up" witness is a kid. There could be something brewing in betwixt different cliques or groups of friends.

I've been wondering if maybe Hailey and MB had a big blow-up that day or Sunday.

I just can't get Hailey's fb posting outta my mind where she talked about MB putting a "beat down" on some girl.

I just don't think it was kids. They could not keep quiet this long. That age girls are always gonna "beat someone up"...usually because of the "little boys', lol. But you may be right, with this one who knows. I still think it's closer to home.

I didn't know about the FB posting, because I have decided to try to save what little bit of sanity I have left by NOT reading on the FB pages.

So, if the new witness is a kid, did this kid tell one of their parents what happened and then the parent got in touch with LE?

So many questions, and not enough answers.

WOO, that being said however....an older teenager (boy) w/connections, small town nightmare.......................actually, if any of the locals know - without naming names - is there a boy that would fit that description? Heck, even a girl?

  • #246
Small town though, the people there knew.......especially the kids, word spreads like wildfire. Why didn't they come forward before now?

I'm wondering if there's a lot more to the back story than most know.

Maybe HD wasn't the perfect little angel, maybe MB wasn't. I don't really care and I don't think it matters outside of the fact that whatever may have gone down, beatdowns, hate lists, boyfriends, etc..... It all needs to be disclosed as the key may lay there. Kids will hide information that they have because they are afraid that if they tell it's going to get them into trouble because they were somehow involved, even if just by knowing about something. Seen it too many times and they know the longer they keep it the more trouble they're going to get in, so it's a vicious circle. So, say "Susie" knows that "Kelly" had an older BF. They'd all hung out. Susie is terrified to tell anyone because she knows that she wasn't supposed to be hanging out with an older guy period. So on and so on. Yes, they should know that the most important thing is bringing their friend home, but kids (and adults) don't always have that rational thought process.
They are at an age where everyone judges them for everything, this is no exception and that weighs heavy on their minds.

If anything has to do with the friends, could explain friends mother's reaction?

Examples:
Accident
Fight that got outta hand
Cover-up
Runaway
etc etc..

Small towns known for "talk" are also known for some to keep their business to themselves. Just depends on the person. KWIM?

I wish that is something that all of these people involved in all of these cases would understand.......trying to paint these kids out to be angels, does nothing to help find them, it actually hinders the process.

lol, I was just sitting here thinking what if one of my 6 had disappeared. It would have been 6 totally different stories....one, you bet there could have been an "older boy involved. One - someone would have had to have grabbed from the house, etc........and the youngest son (26 now), let's just say it would have been a stripper that nabbed him.

Yes sarx, some people I think would be very surprised at what kids this age are capable of "keeping to themselves". It happens more than people think. Bullying is out of control in this country and we all know that. Teen suicide is rampant - partly because they do internalize everything and keep it to themselves.

I'm not saying this was kids. But its a possibility.

ETA: And that article states that LE is planning on speaking to the middle school population. Hopefully tomorrow morning and a schoolwide asembly. The article says the purpose is to "update the students on the progress". Ok - sure - but I think its also to let them know that if anyone knows anything they better come forward. And it could even be possible that LE wants to "watch" certain individuals at that assembly as well.

Christmas vacation, no school, and you stay home all day until 3 o'clock. No, not making sense at all.

Maybe LE is convinced this is local, meaning friends and/or family have the answer and that is why they feel they don't need TES, as they are leaning towards her being with someone in a house, rather than having been injured or worse and out in the elements. But if she was on the phone on that Monday, they should know by now who she spoke to and where that person or persons live, it shouldn't be such a crapshoot.

LE really needs to have an informative PC. Rumors flying so much will only make people shut down more.

I think Hailey is an all around good kid. She got good grades and was well liked by students and teachers. So what if she was allowed a little bit more freedom than another parent would be comfortable with? She probably earned it.

IMO there is no such thing as a "perfect child"...well with the exception of mine;) lol Seriously though, she wasn't cutting school, getting in trouble in school, bad grades. Things that you would typically see with a troubled child or a runaway.

Snipped ...

"The story of some of the key players continues to change even as recently as last night," said Senior Texas DPS Trooper Sparky Dean. "It's very frustrating for law enforcement."

During a news conference Sunday afternoon, Dean elaborated and pointed the finger at those closest to Hailey.

"The family has not been forthcoming in their discernment of the truth," added Dean.

Dean didn't elaborate much beyond that -- only adding that investigators still haven't found evidence of foul play. He says they continue to question people just in case this transitions into a criminal investigation. Dean added that law enforcement continues to be hopeful Hailey is hiding somewhere.

"I'm confident we'll find Hailey," said Dean. "I don't think Hailey wants to be found. I believe she's hiding. She's probably scared at this point. We're going to find her."

IMO, Dean either has strong evidence that Hailey is alive or he is the least intelligent LE Officer on God's green earth ... With that said, I'll keep my opinion of him to myself.

Yes Linda that's true - there wasn't any runaway indicators. But, her interactions with friends, and just the "raging hormone" middle school mentality (not necessarily Hailey but her peers) can and sometimes does cause serious events.

does that make any sense?

I don't think H was a bad child at all, but all those things you just described could also be used to describe some of the worst kids I ever saw, lol.

WHO on earth is STILL changing stories in the family???

Is the BF still considered part of the family?? Or should he be called XBF at this point???

YEEESH

BBM

To be honest this is what I am afraid of. I am afraid it is going to be one of those cases where she is right under everyone's noses stashed away or being kept against her will in someone's house. I mean look at Jaycee Dugard she was stashed away for years and no one knew it.

Does anyone know if they have searched the neighbors house?

Investigators say one of their biggest obstacles right now in tracking down 13-year-old Hailey Dunn has been the family and friends of the missing Colorado City girl.

"The family has not been forthcoming in their discernment of the truth," added Dean.

That right there. That is what I have been thinking was going on..........and it makes me go WTH!

I am wondering if SA has tried to contact BD????

  • #260
Even IF LE thinks she's in someones home, can't TES help with dogs to find scents to Someones home??? I dunno....
