LE is always self-serving in these cases. In Portland, no one has been officially cleared by LE, although you would have to live in a cave not to know where their focus is. And that is after seven months. At the two week point, LE out there had just declared the case a criminal investigation not too much earlier. I think LE is trying to explain, for instance, without saying so, why they are not using TES yet, if they believe this is more of a "family affair". Maybe they believed there is a chance H is in hiding, although I don't.

I would like to know on xmas day was it decided ahead of time that Hailey would spend that night or was there communication by phone telling Mom she would be staying.

BB, I did see a post on H's FB page that she was leaning toward spending it at her dad's as she wanted to be with the baby. If you keep going down and looking at older posts, it is on there somewhere.

Sorry, If there are people lying and changing their stories, I think LE should NAME THEM. To cast suspicion on the entire family IMO is WRONG and CRUEL. I know I said it before, and I am gonna say it again....every scrap of info released by LE thus far has been self serving.

I just don't see it that way. But that's ok, this place would be boring if we all thought the same. I don't know why LE would have a need to be self serving. The FBI and the Rangers are frustrated with the family, so it's very easy for me to see how the local guys didn't know which way to turn. I know there have been friends and family saying LE has screwed up, which I can see how they might need that to be believed. But I just don't see it. I think we have been decieved from the get go on the details of this case and all that is going to come out. It screams of hink when LE says they can't even get a timeline together for the changing stories.................

I had a feeling something like this was brewing. Somebody or somebodies in the family are not being truthful with LE. Therefore, LE can't even get a valid time line going. In every case that I have followed, this has NEVER turned out well for the missing child.

I'll say it again, what a farkin' hot mess.

Because I think they knew they were going to fail. I think they knew they had been changing stories and it was going to catch up with them and I think by them saying it first they thought it would reflect better. Other family members had been saying people were failing - before they even took theirs. Now we find out stories are changing, (even last night they were changing), so it wasn't a big surprise they were going to fail. I think they think it benefits them to make LE look like the bad guys.........especially when you know the fact that your story is changing is going to come out.

I think the arrest was AFTER Hailey went missing, though.

Does anyone remember a case that happened in the last six months or so of a young girl, I don't remember her age, who was found to be hiding after suspicion had fallen on her boyfriend? I think he went through a good amount of police questioning. I believe it turned out that she was hiding in a house associated with her boyfriend. Her mother had gone on Nancy Grace. I'm sorry but I can't remember too many particulars because I didn't follow the case very closely.
