MOO IMHO etc etc
It is possible that the $140 was withdrawn and used a down payment for someone else to kill Hailey??? ( I know it's cheap.. but people have done worse for less)

I was just reading about a case local to me and a guy was hired to kidnap and kill a 13 yr old girl because she had been being sexually abused and the guy abusing her, didn't want her testifying or whatever.

The guy who kidnapped and killed her is possibly escaping the death penalty in IL.

Anyway reading this article this morning made Hailey pop into my head....

The two withdrawals are interesting to me. If to purchase drugs, perhaps they made one withdrawal, got the drugs and found out from the dealer that he/she had more or some other drug they wanted, hence the second withdrawal. Or they could have made 2 withdrawals to "keep under the radar" thinking it wouldn't look fishy or something. This is all just speculation by me...

Does anyone know if there is a casino nearby Colorado City?

OMG... that's near one of the map locations here - can't recall which one, though - I believe one of SA's relatives... :(

I just added the location. It is super near the address that I had for SA. Is this actually a relative's house? Anyone know?

Also, was this bone found in the water or neat the water, as there is a river right near there too?

Everything's on my map in my siggy.

I think some things have been added on the SAR thread...

I completely disagree about BD having learning disability.

Just because you do/say stupid $4it doesn't mean you have a learning disability.

:slap:

jmo

I actually find her to be pretty high functioning. There is no way I could dodge and skirt around those questions on the spot the way she does.

IMO...they are trying to get her to give out information....they may believe her...I don't know...but they are "experienced" in getting information ...and BD is on national TV right now...and much attention..is given to this case...and to HER...using that..and the both of them "praising her for standing up to a lot of criticism" may feed her ego some....and she will continue to talk...altho she is not giving up anything VALUABLE to solve this case...not even a theory...they want to keep her talking....IMO...she will continue..until something surfaces that implicate her ...then she will get counsel and STOP TALKING...the heat is not on her....YET.....all in my own opinion..

Well, NG may be trying to get her to talk, and she is experienced as a former prosecutor, but MK only has experience being a parent of a victim, he isn't trained in interrogation techniques, AFAIK. He might understand some of the procedures since he went through it, though. I believe he was sincere last night commending her for being willing to come on and try to clear up these inconsistencies and I agree with him, it is to her credit.

The problem as I see it is, Nancy doesn't always give the person a chance to speak before cutting them off, and often they cut to a commercial break while the person is still speaking, so we don't get to hear everything Nancy hears. I think Nancy is trying to help get to the bottom of it all, I just wish she would devote more time to letting Billie talk and answer rather than interrupting her.

Ya know...I always have a problem when absolutely nothing is their fault and they never admit they did anything at all wrong. EVERYONE else is a liar.

If we are to believe her, we have to believe everyone else is lying.

the NSF check written for licence
drug pruchase & reason for $$$ withdrawl
Hailey was scared of AS
the polygraph results
Haileys ipod ( mp3 player)
her "hobby" and motive for hobby...wants to read about people unlike THEM

I don't think it's "clear" that she has any learning disability AT ALL. She has/ had a nursing degree. She can comprehend the stuff that was going on around her..... no questions asked.

I'm left wondering how good of a student she was though. I'd love to see her grades.

There are many people who, though intelligent, educated and successful, simply do not present well when it comes to public speaking. Also the tremendous stress she's under, and likely hasn't had much sleep in several weeks, could account for her responses on NG show. Not defending BD (I'm still on the fence).

Permanently revoked??? As in she cannot get it back??
I recall the friend saying her license was revoked due to NSF check. So seems to me if that were true, she could have sent a money order to cover the check and the license would be reinstated. (I don't know their rules.)
IF she had sent in the license renewal app soon enough, so that the license did not expire before the check was bounced, then this probably would have been very simple to correct. IF they did not notify her of the bounced check before the license expired, that's a problem, but STILL... I think she could have paid a fine along with the fee and got the license reinstated... IF it was only due to a bounced check. I'm thinking there is more to this story... it doesn't sound quite reasonable to me.
I used to be a hairdresser years ago, had to have my license renewed every year. I recall that if your license expired for any reason, you had 2 years to apply for a renewal and had to pay a small fee for reinstatement... IIRC, it was $25... and the state board was just about as strict as the nursing board was. That's about the first thing the state inspectors look at... licenses. You cannot even work as a nurse's aide in Texas without a certification, which requires taking a class and passing a written and a practical exam issued by state examiners.
For something as important as a nursing license... I would think a person would be required to send a money order, due to the time it takes for a check to clear. I know you can use a credit or debit card and renew them online, but without a computer, she should have got a money order, or made sure there was enough money in the bank to cover it.

bounced check or no bounced check she was practicing nursing without a license, it was found out, she was served with papers and failed to show up at her board hearing so they revoked it. I am really not buying much that BD is selling these days so who knows if that is the REAL reason that she did not renew her license and yet continued to work. ((that part being my opinion only))

I am a nurse (and professional poster here) and this is a big no no to practice without a license.

What is most concerning to me is that she did not attend the hearing.

In order for her to get her license reinstated she will have to appear before the board and it will be up to the board if they wish to reinstate her license and if there are any other stipluations such as probation etc...

I do not have the link handy but did read her court documents....

How about you make a withdrawal, buy your drugs, snort it or smoke it, feel it's good **it, make another withdrawal and buy some more. It doesn't take long to smoke/snort 50 or 60 dollars worth of a high end drug like cocaine or crack.

I was thinking the reason for the two withdrawls was because they needed a certain amount for the drugs they were buying (((according to Billie... she told this to police!))) so BD took out some with her card and SA with his?

just a thought

I think it may have be true when she said she didn't know how much exactly was in there. So they withdrew 50 or 60 bucks....saw the balance on the print out...WHOOO HOOO :woohoo:there was still more in there, so they took that out too!

Okay, I have to be honest, I kept up with this case for 20 threads but I am losing ground here. I just watched a video - part 1 that Kimster posted a page or 2 back -the one with Hailey's grandma and BD on Nancy Grace. At 1:19 in the video BD states "I'm a credible witness. I'm not a liar." Besides her looking away, the statement bugs me to no end. Maybe I took it wrong but to me, "witness" implies just that; You witness something. Being credible stands on it's own. Being a credible witness - to me - is someone that witnessed something and is credible when describing what they witnessed. That and describing herself as "a wonderful mom" really irk me. Clearly, I have a completely different perception of "a wonderful mom." Okay, off my soap box now and back to the shadows.

A witness is anyone LE interviews or questions, until they become a POI, or suspect. They can interview a neighbor, a teacher, a friend or relative which makes that person a witness. According to LE, a witness does not have to mean an EYE witness, it is just someone who might have information. The word has a different meaning in the legal sense than it does to us as civilians.
Hope that helps.

The two withdrawals were made one minute apart. BD says that's because she wasn't sure how much money was there so she made one withdrawal, saw she had more and made the second.

I'm curious about how two people, with full time jobs apparently, can be this broke considering that they didn't appear to be living extravagantly. No internet, no home phone, no computer etc. And BD explained this as being one account, not some from hers or some from his. I wonder if they had a joint account? Or she just lied about that too on NG.

Now SA seemed to be living rather well, a blackberry and a laptop and expensive masks, drugs just to name a few things.

Was she carrying the load here and his money was "his" because it wasn't his house or his children?

And if they really spent that money on gas and groceries, and that's what they told LE, they would have had to give them the names of places they went to buy these things and LE could have checked that story out with video surveillance. So IMO she had no choice but to fess up to the drug buy.

Rumors are now swirling around Scurry County about the discovery of a bone by a search party that was out looking for 13-year-old Hailey Dunn.

According to Sheriff Darren Jackson, with the Scurry County Sheriff's Department, the rumors have been going around the community of Dunn for a few days. He tells NewsWest 9 that no human remains have been discovered.

Trooper Sparky Dean with the Department of Public Safety tells NewsWest9 he has only heard about the possible discover of a bone from the media and not official sources.
