I am the mom of 4 young adult kids....and once my kids got in 4th - 5th grade, I didn't check on them in the night. There wasn't really a reason to check on them. The doors were locked and they were fed and safe. Now, I might check on them if they were sick. Otherwise I did not.
I think I was a great mom...I was a stay-at-home mom who drove her kids to and from school each day and even homeschooled a couple years. But I didn't get up in the night to check on the kiddos. Why would Billie check on Hailey while she was in bed? I guess some moms do that but I don't think she did....unless she was worried about something.

I believe she said she looked in on her in the morning, before she left to go to work. Now, it is my opinion that she did not check on her, that she made that up because she did not want anyone to think she was a bad mom.

I don't have any children living with me right now, but I do have 3 dogs and a cat. I always "check" on them before I go to work -- every day. If I had a child, I would do the same. I just want to know they are there -- and okay.

I asked last night but never received an answer. Where did anyone hear that SA's family has money? Some might think, "what does this have to do with finding Hailey" and it doesn't. It pertains to why BD might be being illusive IMO.

Basically Apple lock the phones so certain things cant be installed or you cant get a lot of apps for free. However if you jailbreak it basically you just put a code in that your given and after that you can download whatever you want to your phone even stuff from the file sharing places that are free.

I agree with you....It might be unusual to "normally" check a 13 year old's room while getting ready in the morning...

But with a BF like her's and his "hobbies"...B may have felt she wanted to "check"......

I posted a few posts ago that B said she checked in H's room that morning to "EASE" her mind.....I am asking..WHY??????..

What prompted her to have to check if H was in her bed???
What happened the night before???...Or during the night???

IMO....either B was TRULY worried and wanted to check to see if H was in her bed....and honestly did it to EASE her mind.....

Or...B is just telling the media that...and she KNOWS the truth...

I keep thinking that Hailey and Billie got in some kind tif that night...I keep waiting for that one to come out. (because I don't think that Billie will come out and tell us that).

Maybe that the why she check on her to see if she left to go stay with her dad. There was mention of a tif about Hailey wanting to live with her dad.

Her posts are cute. You can view them on her wall - her personal FB is public, and it seems a family member may have logged in and updated the page since Hailey's last post on Dec 22nd. We can't include direct quotes or copy/paste, so I've paraphrased some of what she posted about. She posted about:

• The baby shower for her lil sis, and that she loves her
• Chilling with her family
• Her and nana
• Her dog got hit but was ok
• Watching her lil cousins; that they are so cute
• She loves her family
• That it’s really early to be up; she just woke up / it’s too early (at 9:25am and 10:40am)
• 3 more days (I assume she meant until Christmas)

Yes we have air cards/some other names but the same principal. I had to look at your location because I didn't know what you meant when you said "over there" I thought you were talking about Texas.

The only thing I have heard about that is people who have said that his family owns a lot of hunting land. Supposedly they own acres of property that are used by hunters, and some people have said there were video cameras which were set up to record wildlife movement, and that some of the memory cards were removed from the cameras. I have not seen any verification however.

What I found odd. After Billie speaks with her son and gets him to text MB's house for Hailey and Billie learns she never stayed there...My first thought would be SHAWN must have been mistaken and named the wrong girl. I would call him immediately and ask him again, ARE YOU SURE she said MB? I wonder if she did that?

And if he said 'yes', then I would have contacted MB's parent(s) and double-checked. Maybe asked if they had even seen her the night before or if MB knew of any plans Hailey had.

Can we clarify this? an ITOUCH is a cell phone from TMobile. An Ipod Touch is an Apple IPOD (very robust MP3 player) product with touchscreen that has a lot of functionality including internet access with a WIFI connection.

I would think, with a search warrant, the LE or FBI can request the user records from Hailey's FB account. That would give a better idea of what she using, as it would give at the very least, some type of IP address which could then be traced.

Otherwise, WHY would LE offer to show Clint video from the surrounding area?

My guess is because he is doubting them, verbalizing that to them, so they offer him the tapes, so he can see for himself?

They had to have internet at one time...that how she meant SA.

I think she knew she would be asked that question and I'm hoping that she answered the way she did because she didn't want to look bad. Thing is I know plenty of great parents that do go to work in the mornings (especially when it's that early) without looking in on their children if they don't have to get them up for school or something..So, while I could never see myself doing it, I surely wouldn't think badly of someone who did..probably wouldn't have even thought much about it at all, had Billie not answered the way she did..

Now, what I'm afraid of is that for some reason she felt the need to say that she checked...yet distances herself from being able to confirm for sure..that definitely gives me pause...It almost seems that she's not sure that someone might be able to dispute her claim (like DD for example) and is leaving herself wiggle room..<total speculation on my part tho...

You can also tether via some cell phones, using the phone as a modem. I do it all the time. We don't pay for it with Verizon Wireless but use a free service.

I too keep wondering if there was some trigger over that holiday weekend. What may have led SA to do something Monday morning, after BD left?

My speculation centers around SA's calling BD his fiance on the MM site. Could he have proposed to her on Christmas? Given her a ring? Then HD acted out her disapproval ??? (ticked him off) ???

It was a LONG pause, then, "No". Convincing, wasn't she?

It was almost as though NG led her into saying she checked on Hailey (as well as answering her own question as to when she last saw her...)

I really hate that the weekend came and ended Nancy and Billie's 'communication'.. I have to admit..for the first time in a long time..I was telling NG..you go girl!..

I have to say to some degree.... it may not be the "same" person. Someone can change a lot in the amount of time that has passed from when those videos were made until now.

ITA with this. I know many are shocked over those videos, but honestly, I see a bunch of young boys trying to be "shocking". It seems to be what younger people do these days. Ten years ago everyone would have been shocked over the show "Jackass", and were. These days it's considered tame. They have nothing to do out in the middle of nowhere, so they carry around a deer heart, shoot an air soft gun out of a car window, and dress up in scary costumes.

Same thing with the drug use on video, these boys are just trying to get attention. If they were sitting in a college dorm getting stoned, it wouldn't have looked that out of place. That's what a lot of kids their age do!

I see a bunch of immature boys, acting like immature boys!! People can mature a lot from their younger 20's to mid 20's. However, I do understand how people can link what they see on those videos to some terrible thing happening to Hailey. We all have seen horrific things on this board that none of us would have ever considered.

I still think SA is suspicious in this ordeal, but not to the extent many others do. I am very much on the fence about BD too. I still wouldn't be surprised if neither he, nor BD, had anything to do with Hailey's disappearance. JMO
