I read on Topix (FWIW), that Hailey and her friends would stand in front of the hotel that scent dogs trailed to, in order to get a wireless signal. In the raw interview with Billie that I posted a link to, she tells the reporters they did not have a computer in their home.

Yet SA apparently had a laptop taken in by LE, I believe... very confused as to who does have internet and where they all logged on. I guess LE was looking into the library as one place some of the family used.

I just remember thinking when this first happened and everyone was puzzled over bd leaving her cell for the kid's. Oh wow sounds like us, but then it came out about spending 140.00 on drug's but you dont even have a land line. Geeeez I just dont get it. jmo

I get it. Having been exposed to a loved ones addiction. The addiction comes above all else. (a pain pill addiction is hard to detect BTW, becasue you wont see the red eyes of pot, the smell of alcohol, ect). Bills will go unpaid, family needs unmet. The addiction becomes the most important thing. When I heard something about prescription drugs, and the amount of $140 threw up the big red flags for me. People addicted to pain meds lead pretty normal lives if they have jobs. It's just that they will use that money for pills, and then the kids, the bills, and everything else comes in second. When someone addicted to pain meds cannot get them, after a day or so, they will become very agitated, very irritable, wont be able to sleep, their whole body will feel miserable. Thats their incentive to get more. Its very very hard to just stop, and can also be very dangerous. An addiction to hydrocodone for example, is many times treated as a heroin addiction. Yes, its that bad. But again, I want to stress, it is very hard to know if a person is popping this type of pill.

High Five on the marriage celebration.I see alot of what you're saying in what's happened since Hailey has disappeared, but it's the before and seeing those videos,I don't understand.I would never let any of that around my children. So,for her to say she could have him back, blows my mind and makes me feel she knew it all before and yet this bunch and everything associated was around those kids. I feel it was only a matter of time something was going to happen. He's not their father,he didn't have to be in their lives.I feel so sorry for Hailey that her childhood has been so screwed up until this happened. And for DD,now it's a million times worse.

Thank You!

And I agree that crap would not be tolerated in my home at all by a BF or hubby or kids.

SA disturbed me alot. So does the neighbor that is no longer there. :waitasec:

I think BD has made bad choices in her life (so have I) and if a miracle happen and she get Hailey back safe and sound...I bet there will be changes in that family.

I just think some posts were being unfair to BD and had to get it out of my system.

Thanks all for listening or reading by rant.

On another note IMO if SA did something to Hailey I think he would lure her out of the house to maybe a trip to mall or to the store:waitasec:

But no that don't explain why she didn't take anything:waitasec:

I really want to know more about that neighbor that was on the video and why he no longer there.... That also is another big red flag:banghead:

I agree about the "a.m. bed check" possibly being fabricated.. My main reason for this is that this important detail{and it would be labeled as a very important detail as it would technically be the last time that Billie "saw" her daughter}was absent for several days into Hailey's "disappearance"..

This detail was "added in" at some point after-the-fact of the "disappearance" as well as the entire investigation picking up more media attn.. Of course it would only be speculation by anyone as to why its thought that this detail/last sighting of Hailey by her mom was added in some pt. after-the-fact.. That said my amateur speculation is that possibly during the course of the many, long houred interviews with various LE that when detailing her account of that days events that possibly one or more officials gave Billie an indication that her having NOT gone in Hailey's room and checked on her that morning before work was perceived as a "bad" or "negative" thing.. Therefor as with several other issues when Billie was speaking in the media she adds or gives a bit of a different{or "better", "more positive"}account of the events that day{i.e. adding in the detail that she DID CHECK IN ON HAILEY BEFORE WORK THAT DAY}than what LE has "on record" that she told during the course of their multiple interviews..

I hope I'm making my idea/opinions atleast somewhat clear and/or understandable:)

Good post....

You know .....I go "back and forth" on her "checking" on H that morning...

Part of me feels.....B "suspected something" and peeked in H's room (she said to EASE her mind??? paraphrasing here)to see if she was in there....Did she hear something in the night??...Did S get up in the night and leave the bed??..Did she hear something from H's room in the night??..Did B go to bed first and leave H and S still up???...A thousand questions I have.....about why she had to EASE her mind...like she had a "suspicion" and had to "check it out" to EASE her mind...if H was in her room/bed.....

BUT...on the other hand...she never walked over to the bed and SEE her...she said she THOUGHT H was in the bed....just covers she saw....

But you have a great point...she may be "adding" it in...to appear to be a "good mom".....

This was by far the BEST interview that has been done by any reporter. The reporter asked her the question and gave BD the chance to answer it.

It was a very good interview.

What I find odd. When given the chance to speak to Hailey............

The thought that someone may be holding her never occurs to Billie. I would have appealed directly to whoever was holding her and I would have told my daughter I love her and I will never stop searching, stay strong because I will find you.

I simply can't imagine a mother giving up and that's the way she comes across, it's like she knows Hailey is no longer with us. IMO

If this is true, LE should be able to verify it by talking with the management at the hotel. They may even have a record of WIFI usage there. They should also be able to verify this with talking to her friends.

That's a good question.

We've been told that her ITouch was "missing" a few days before Christmas and that BD was not sure if HD ever found it before she went missing. We've also been told it was broken and if that's the case LE should have it. NG also called it a "knock-off" so we're not sure if it really was a true ITouch. She also pretty much dismissed it which I don't understand. Not sure what the truth is here. :waitasec:

One thing we do know is that she posted on her FB on the 22nd with either an ITouch or IPhone. We just don't know if it belonged to her I guess.

We have also heard that she got a new IPod for Christmas this year. Not sure if it was a new ITouch or just an MP3 player. MP3 players do have cameras and considering that HD already owned an ITouch, she would have had no problem with the camera if she got a new one this Christmas. It was probably an IPod MP3 player that she got this year.

Can we clarify this? an ITOUCH is a cell phone from TMobile. An Ipod Touch is an Apple IPOD (very robust MP3 player) product with touchscreen that has a lot of functionality including internet access with a WIFI connection.

I am sure LE has. They got the video surveillance from the hotel.

Although BD used drugs, I do not believe she is a drug addict. I worked in a medical setting for a number of years and know that if she were using drugs heavily, her coworkers would have spotted it. Since she has worked at the same place for 7 years, I believe she must be a reliable employee. Especially if they knew she did not have a license, her coworkers would have watched her closely. Also from knowing a number of nurses who lost their licenses because of drug use, I think if she were a serious drug user she would have soon gotten into trouble with the temptation to steal drugs or forge perscriptions. For these reasons, I think her drug use is recreational.

It sounds to me that they were savy as to how to hi jack someone else's internet connection. That is pretty commonly done, but I would not think kids that young would be doing it. jmo

I am the mom of 4 young adult kids....and once my kids got in 4th - 5th grade, I didn't check on them in the night. There wasn't really a reason to check on them. The doors were locked and they were fed and safe. Now, I might check on them if they were sick. Otherwise I did not.
I think I was a great mom...I was a stay-at-home mom who drove her kids to and from school each day and even homeschooled a couple years. But I didn't get up in the night to check on the kiddos. Why would Billie check on Hailey while she was in bed? I guess some moms do that but I don't think she did....unless she was worried about something.

I do agree with you. When the reporter gave her the opportunity to adress Hailey, my thought was great....but BD's fell flat, little emotion at all, like BD didn't know what to say. I was hoping she would just pour her heart out to her daughter, the reporter was not rushing her at all, but she didn't. I don't know why.........

Well, IF that's true and LE I'm sure knows by now if that's the case..it would answer why the dogs led them there. (again IF it's true that they did!) I can see kids that age doing just that too!

You'd be SHOCKED at exactly how savvy many kids that young are! My 13 year old jailbroke his iphone and runs outside apps and programs. I don't even understand the purpose:waitasec:

That is true. But, to access the WIFI they would have to have an internet connection in the home or hi jack a wireless in the surrounding area.

I had not seen this before, sorry if it's already been posted. This is the most verbal I have ever seen her ...

http://www.reporternews.com/news/2011/jan/12/raw-video-mother-billie-jean-dunn-speaks-out-about/

Thanks I didn't see this before tonight. I always assumed they didn't have a home phone so that is why BD left her cell for the kids. It seems they do have a home phone. Also, she is talking about he neighbor seeing Hailey on the phone, she does not say cell phone.

Has anybody asked Billie is SA jumped out of bed Tues morning and left at the usually time?

Here's another thing that bugs me about that day and why I wish we could get an answer as to where SA told BD he was.

BD claimed that she got a ride home to CC from a co-worker on the 28th as soon as she realized that Hailey was missing.

I would assume the first person she called was SA. They both worked in Snyder and he should have still been at work. What did he tell her was the reason he could not leave work and drive her home in what would be the most important emergency in her life?

Remember, she claimed not to know he was not employed until the following day, Dec 29th.

http://www.reporternews.com/news/2011/jan/12/raw-video-mother-billie-jean-dunn-speaks-out-about/

I remember watching the edited version of this, whatever day it was released. This "raw" footage shows how BD has been (at least in this case) a victim of editing. People have gotten on her for saying "this house", while in this interview, she says "home". She speaks of loving HD, wanting her home, and all of the things she has been accused of not saying. But she said it. It was edited out.

As for the discussion about introverts (very well described), I too am that way, but didn't know that was my label :) Very controlled during crisis ... "do do do" ... worry about me later (sleep, food, etc). After a crisis/sad/tragic event, after everyone has gone, when it's quiet: collapse, uncontrollable crying, feeling very beat up. But no one sees it. And I don't tell.

So perhaps that is why I've always been on the fence about Billie, but I'd say that I'm more of a front row fencer (want to believe her so badly, but am waiting for more facts, but want to defend her). But I can watch her talking, I can see the defense mechanisms that she is using to control her emotions. It's hard to describe, but *I* see it, because I do similar things. For example, when her voice begins to break a little (which it does a bit when talking about HD), I see her deep breath, glances around ... to me, that only means she is gathering her composure (not concocting a story, remembering lies). Heck, I even have conversations with myself while gathering composure ("oh no you don't, STOP IT" etc).

So thank you gals for bringing up the introvert conversation. I agree, it is very relevant and important in understanding BD.

Exactly -- she did it to EASE HER MIND. I'm telling you...SA did something that night, went somewhere, Hailey went with him, something. Something happened.

I agree with you....It might be unusual to "normally" check a 13 year old's room while getting ready in the morning...

But with a BF like her's and his "hobbies"...B may have felt she wanted to "check"......

I posted a few posts ago that B said she checked in H's room that morning to "EASE" her mind.....I am asking..WHY??????..

What prompted her to have to check if H was in her bed???
What happened the night before???...Or during the night???

IMO....either B was TRULY worried and wanted to check to see if H was in her bed....and honestly did it to EASE her mind.....

Or...B is just telling the media that...and she KNOWS the truth...

Time will tell...pray for H
