Yes...as scary as it seems...it does. I have been trying to block that thought out of my mind for the last several days, and it keeps returning.

I have been thinking to for a couple of days too, but this whole friend not being honest thing is making it hard to shake my Elizabeth Olten thoughts.

That's an awesome idea!!!

Peples, I messd up on MB, I wrote her whole name! They said it on Nancy Grace but could you edit it out of your post for me? I already fixed mine!

Just click on the little arrow by your name in the quote box above to go straight to your post. Thanks!

Maybe had older friends that wanted to party. Beer, drugs, older cute boys there?
Might have went with friend to have fun, but were in over their heads.

Right... scary, isn't it. I know that girls this age are more mature than we were at that age, or think they are anyway.
I have nightmares remembering what my g/d was doing a few years ago... she was staying alone at 12 while her mom and dad worked and got in trouble for having friends over.

I don't think it is fair to blast LE 100%
The fact is teens lie to their parents and come home, most of the time.

The cops were told she went to a sleepover, but turned out that was not true, but the parents were unaware she was missing for a day.

At the time of the call no one thinks boyfriend is lying.

I can see why they thought is was a teen issue and she would be home shortly.
Not saying they couldn't have done more before public pressure built, but at the initial call we applying a lot of hindsight knowledge.

czgtz you can't go anywhere right now - we still have questions - okay, please don't go .... please please

lol, the squeaky please got to me.

I don't mind helping to clear up points that need to be clarified. And I really do mean to go back through and read the posts, but it is going to take a while - I still need to get through quite a bit of the second thread. I will be here for a while tonight for sure, and will try and at least check back every evening when I get home from work.

When did Billie find out that her bf quit or was fired on Monday?? From watching dad in the vigil video and on NG, tonite....I think he's furious.

And, this couple is not even divorced?? Yet, daddy has a new baby with his gf and mom has a part-time live in bf?? What a mess....

Hope SA gets his story straight and is off drugs for his poly in the morning....which I don't believe will happen. Wonder if he told Billie one was scheduled just to make it look good for her NG interview. The article saying he would be retested because of drugs he takes makes me think he did take one and failed miserably.

Desperately trying to catch up. Can't read it at work. Just tuned in. My stomach is churning for this girl and I find what I read about the BF myspace absolutely horrifying. If I am politically incorrect too bad.

Thank You NG. The most informative show I have seen in a long time. The interviews of both parents was spot on. Ya'll really do make a "difference" in this world by bringing to light these children's stories and their cries for help and justice. Thank You.

If I miss something, feel free to send me a PM.

Do any of the locals know if SA moved to California after he left high school?

I agree. I think there are more cases of runaway teens than there are teens who are abducted, at least in my area. And the sad truth is, LE cannot assume anything else, until there are signs of foul play. Not necessarily physical evidence, but also with peoples' statements who are involved. When someone's statement doesn't add up, or they change the initial story or cops find out they lied.... then they can look at it differently. Right now, she's a missing teen and that may be all they know at this point.

My problem is the BF getting fired/quitting that day...it is just too coincidental and that almost is never good.
It means it was not a normal day...
I hope he really does take that LD tomorrow but somehow I'm not holding my breath.

ITA with dad being furious. Actually, I think he's past furious. Wonder what he thought of this boyfriend? Had he voiced any opinion one way of the other about this guy to anyone else?

Yes, the BF seems very very suspicious but after NG and hearing about MB and what she has said. Plus mom saying she hasn't asked her about that - that is LE taking the lead with this girl and mom being told to "hush". Why would that neighbor lie about seeing the girls?

IMO could go either way right now.
