As well-known as NG is to us, her shows rates between 1/2 million and 3/4 million viewers per day from what I can find, which in a country of nearly 300 million it amazes me that Brittany S. was spotted. It is a really small percentage of the population. I know I am alone in my friends/family circle who follows missing persons case in the least, unless they happen to be in their own town. And I think it is that way with most people. Kyron has had tons of national expsoure, but I don't know anyone away from WS who has heard of him and Kaine said even in Portland, lots of people are either unaware or figure he is home by now.

Yep, and for people like my mom who only know (and believe as gospel) what they hear on Nancy Grace..once she quits covering a case, it's all but forgotten :-( Of course just the simple sad fact that there is a missing/murdered child in the news so often and when you think you just couldn't hear of a more horrifying case..we do. I think many people are desensitized to some extent..

As sad as it is the majority of the public would not recognize many of the names of our missing/murdered children, much less a picture or the child themselves if they crossed paths..

Hailey spent the night with Clint Christmas night (Saturday) and spent the night at home with Billie the next night (Sunday). Sunday night was the last time Billie saw Hailey... Hailey was not up when Billie went to work early Monday morning.

Thank you so much for clarifying this.
Has the neighbor report been confirmed of seeing Hailey at lunchtime?

You can start a thread in the Board Software & Hardware forum at link below - hopefully someone there can help you out...I would include the operating system & browser you're using in your post.

I remember that there was a topic on the Caylee Anthony board discussing the media coverage of the case. Although Caylee had been featured on NG for months, many people said that people in their area were not familiar with the case. I am glad that Hailey is getting national media attention on NG but like clauciano said, that's one show that only a very small segment of the population gets. It's the same with Kyron---he's been on Oprah, People magazine, and NG, but there are millions of people who don't watch those shows or read that magazine who have no idea he's missing. The cases that everyone is familiar with, even years later, like OJ and JonBenet, are that way because they've been featured on probably every media outlet out there.

Well, NG is rerunning Thursday's show. I hope she continues Monday if Hailey is not safe home by then. And even if Hailey is home, I would really like to know about the investigation and why so many things are hinky and strange.

czgtz...I am right there with you on this! What is most strange is why they aren't welcoming the help of TES? :banghead:

Tim Miller and Texas EquuSearch do search for missing children that are found alive. The biggest mistake is not getting them involved early on. Tim Miller, took his pain and sorrow in losing his daughter, and turned it into a wonderful purpose. He understands what parents are going through in this type of situation. He was there for Natalee Holloway's mother and thousands of other families.

TES is a professional search and rescue/recover operation with TRAINED volunteers who can assist the locals in searching. Having them involved can enhance the odds that Hailey is recovered alive. And in the tragic event she was fatally harmed, the sooner they locate her improves the probability that the person responsible is caught.

It is just SAD that LE does not have TES searchers in Dunn, TX on horseback covering every square inch of the terrain. Especially the wooded areas and creek beds!

I will never forget the first week in Feb. 2009 TES was involved in 3 searches and found all 3 people ALIVE!!! This is what TES is all about...One little guy was Owen Castle in Llano, TX. The Texas EquuSearch search was a miraculous success for this 2yr old little boy and his family in Feb. 2009. Whent they found him he was near death due to being out in the elements for too long. Had that family waited Owen would not be here today.
Owen's mother wanted TES involved and wouldn't take NO for an answer. This is the kind of miracle TES can bring forth when they have full cooperation from family members and LE doesn't block their help.

Knocking on doors, asking questions, looking in garages, etc. is great for LE to be doing but for heaven's sake lets get professionally trianed searchers in place on the ground with professionally trained SAR dogs. LE should use as many investigative resources as quickly as possible on these cases. And TES won't cost them a thing!

It makes me want to scream and spit nails that TES is ready and waiting to come and find Hailey and LE is still saying NO. Poor Hailey is still missing...what is the harm in having TES involved. I say roll out the red carpet for TES and let LE do their own thing. We will see who finds Hailey! And I hope and pray she is still alive!

It has been 2 WEEKS...Let's bring TES in and let's bring Hailey HOME!!!

Definately, with the running away... been there, done that. I have always thought this from the start and I keep going back and forth but, I will throw it out there. I am thinking she did go to MB's - the dogs did lead there to the door. I am thinking she did run away or was taken. Maybe, she met someone somewhere that was in town for Thanksgiving. I don't think anyone has hurt her. She is too pretty.

The thought that she may have run away is what gives me hope..although I don't believe that's what happened to be honest. Although as I said, I ran away several times at that age..but I NEVER ran away alone (and don't believe that most teens do) and I did take clothes..Once I ran away when I realized that my parents knew I was with my BF (later to be my husband..later still, my ex, lol) and I wasn't supposed to be w/him and then was afraid to go home. It was me, him and another girl..we took BF home..then my friend wanted to stop by some friends of hers (who were years older than us and were strippers, I found out after we got there..I was 15 and my friend was 17) on our way to stay at her aunts that night. Long story short..ended up that we couldn't go to her aunts..I couldn't go home (I didn't think)..she had to go home and I ended up staying the night and going to work with the 2 strippers the next day. I had NEVER met them before, my BF didn't even know where I was when my dad caught up with him the next day. The only reason I tell any of that is because sometimes things can start out to be one thing and go south in a hurry because these girls were into some scary stuff. I think back to some of the chances I took and it's a miracle I'm here today..

I am so sorry for posting about donations without permission. Thank you for e-mailing Tricia for me. I did not mean to stir anything up.

Hailey spent the night with Clint Christmas night (Saturday) and spent the night at home with Billie the next night (Sunday). Sunday night was the last time Billie saw Hailey... Hailey was not up when Billie went to work early Monday morning.

I'm sure this has been asked and answered, so I apologize in advance..but who is it that gave the description of what Hailey was wearing. Would it have been SA only..or was it process of elimination..as in Billie having to decipher what was missing?

I had told Billie that we were taking supper to her the other day, but then LE took her to the courthouse until midnight. I ask her everyday about eating, and she tells me she is, but I know not enough.

I went over for a while today. Her mom is still there with her, so hopefully she is making Billie eat.

I think it would be fine to take something over. When we planned on supper, I told her to let her son choose.... he said mexican or chinese, lol, but I'm sure they would appreciate whatever.
