Me too. I check Namus and this thread constantly. I know those at NamUs and the agencies are working hard, I hope the information I sent helps.

This young man was only added to NamUs last May, and I searched and I don't believe he's been mentioned in this thread before. Thoughts? Should I send it in?
Similarities i like: hair style, arched eyebrows, nose shape, defined cupid's bow.

Julian Marcelino Perez Mendez, age 20, DLC Sept 2021, 5'1", 110-125lbs, was wearing size 38 tennis shoes (which I believe comes out as a mens 6?), blue jeans, and a dark tshirt. Julian was last seen in the vicinity of the Falfurrias TX Border Patrol checkpoint probably on or near private ranchland. This is about a 4 hour drive from Houston.

His COD has been speculated in this thread but I just found where Harris County ME posts their case statuses (thank you @ralyla for indirectly showing me !) and I found confirmation that this was a death due to hanging.

This was not one of the four I submitted a couple of months ago - I would submit it.

I was hoping the comparisons for the ones I submitted in August would have come back, but I still don't show any comparisons/rule-outs on our UP.

I came up with this missing person already in May 2022 ( #180 and further) and we had a lengthly discussion about him if he could be a match. Some people said submit, other's said his faith would be likely he died somewhere in the dessert while border crossing. Anyways...I would have submitted him if there would have been an entrance to do so.

Oops, thanks ! I searched by last name and we were referring to him by his first name so it totally slipped by me.

I just wanted to add that the possible ligature could very well be from hanging. I’ve been through my fair share of mental health struggles and have been in a clinic. People hang themselves with shoelaces and such, so it’s definitely possible. As for the height that you hang from, it really doesn’t matter. A guy from the clinic I went to hung himself from the towel rack approximately 60-80 cm from the floor (I don’t recall the exact height). You don’t necessarily have to be (completely) lifted from the ground.
I hope he will be identified soon, I really feel for this guy. I hope he is at peace.

He had a link on a FB missing site but he's not there now. He meets all the characteristics of the deceased: age, height, weight, chin and nose shape, etc.
