I would also like to know... @cvaldez1975 suggested he might have had chest trauma and that's why they covered him up digitally (The photoshop is so strange, I've never seen a medical examiner be bashful before, typically they just pull a sheet tight up around their neck or don't mind showing upper chest).
I checked the weather; no way this was hypothermia, it didn't get lower than 12C that night.
Considering his age and location I'm wondering if it could have been an accidental overdose, but he's really clean...you'd think there might be residual vomit or blood from the nose/mouth, but ofc they might have really scrubbed him down.
When I was trying to find any mention of this in the news (I couldn't find anything), multiple cases of Houston residents found murdered in their trunk/truck bed came up... unlikely but if something happened and he was killed, the assailants could have stashed his body in a nearby, abandoned school bus. He's certainly light enough for 2 people to carry up the little stairs.

On 2nd image, the side on shot - there's something on the neck - can't work out if it's dried skin, residue from something or marking from something like a chain?

Sadly, his COD/MOD was declared as suicide by hanging So the markings are likely furrows from whatever ligature he used.

Saul Perez-Perez went missing in June 2019. I thought he looked like our Houston UID young man. He was 17 at the time and 5’3, 119 lbs. I ran a search on this thread to see if he was mentioned previously and nothing came up for Saul.

UID info says 5’1” and 112 lbs. so they are very close.

Circumstances of Disappearance:
LAST SEEN ON 06/16/2019 AT RESIDENCE IN SPRING VALLEY BUT HAS ONLY RESIDED AT THE LOCATION SINCE 05/21/19. A LARGE PIECE OF LUGGAGE AND ALL CLOTHING OF MISSING PERSON WAS NOT AT RESIDENCE.

Eyebrows look a bit different to me, but it's hard to tell for sure with such a small photo. The photo of Saul also looks like the dimensions have been messed with like it's 'stretched' vertically, which makes it harder to tell what his face shape actually is.

I think he looks about 14-17 to me. He looks like he was in high school. His height may suggest he was younger too. I’m a bit taller than John Doe at 5’2” but I weigh the same as he does. I’m small for my age even as a female.

Surely someone knows him. This is someone’s son, brother, cousin, friend, grandson, nephew, maybe uncle? I would say we need to keep searching, as of Apr 2023 he remains unidentified.

I can maybe help a bit. He looks slightly familiar to me. I remember a few days before John Doe was found, I was eating at a restaurant near the location (I’m from Houston.) There was a distinct busboy working there.

He looked about 15-17. He was very short, Hispanic, and had this haircut. This exact haircut. And that day I saw it it looked very fresh. He had the same face shape as Doe, a similar nose, and he had very smooth skin. I don’t remember the guy’s name, it was either Manuel or Emmanuel. Never gave a last name (of course, we only talked for 5 minutes.) He was a really nice guy. I think this is him. He was never reported missing AFAIK. If it’s not him I wonder how the busboy is doing now.

This case is so sad.

You're local, so if you saw someone that fits our Doe's description at the approximate time not long before he died, you could have important information for investigators. I’m thinking of submitting it to the police. Because Manuel/Emmanuel looked so strikingly similar. I think Doe was a bit taller though. Emmanuel looked about 4’9”-4’11” to me.

Edit: I will be sure to provide details of the busboy to the police, along with details of the UID. Hopefully the information I provided can maybe help give this Doe his name back. This case seems very solvable.

Yup! My description of “Emmanuel” matches the description of the deceased down to a T. It’s just that the heights don’t match up. Although I can see how he could be measured at 5’1” if he is in fact the decedent. He looked about 4’10” and maybe 95 lbs. Super tiny dude. I’m praying this is not him.

Yes, the mark looks thin too. I’m sure it was barely holding him up, and he’s on the smaller side. It looks like a chain.

I am not sure whether this guy has been added before. I don’t think so. He is a little heavier and the ear profile is not quite right, but if you do it as a mirror image it may work and he could have lost weight. I think the location may also be off, but thought I would put him out there.
