Or this one @othram - perhaps LE would work with locals?

This is really close, about 1 hour from our forensic lab. If anyone knows who is working the case and can make an introduction, let us know. Otherwise, we will reach out via the contact info in the DOE NETWORK record. Appreciate the heads up!

Yeah, I agree with @sunnynz let's not consider people where it's pretty obvious that they died shortly after they vanished.

The information I saw didn’t state she died shortly after disappearance or reference this at all. Plus, totally unnecessary post.

These are the circumstances from Namus: “Linda was reported missing in the early morning hours of 02/19/1976 by her family when she left her residence to visit a friend. Linda was never seen again. Linda left her purse and shoes at the residence.” Reading between the lines this sounds like the countless other cases from this era where a girl or woman was killed in a family violence situation and their family member claimed she ‘ran away’ or ‘went to see a friend’. Leaving in the early hours of the morning barefoot with no money? Call me cynical but I’m not buying it.

Based on that I think the chances of her being WCJD are just so unlikely.

All my opinion only but if you feel there’s something about the match that makes it really likely then you should take it further.

I mentioned this before, but I cant get past the fact that she didn't have anything with her...change of clothes, bag with toiletries, or suitcase...I suspect she didn't think she would be gone long.
Also, if someone was expecting her to visit at the prison, and she never showed...and for all these years as well....haven't they inquired or looked for her? So frustrating...

Yes I saw it too.
You would think being in the same state (Aransas Pass/Huntsville) and not terribly distant that someone would have recognised her by now. But I do hope it pans out!

I can't past the fact that we'd find her yearbook photo.
