I hope it's true and she gets identified before the anniversary.

Wow! That would be great news if she was identified.

Her page on the Texas DPS website is also down, it seems: unDetails

Hoping that means she's been IDed!

What are the chances both of those pages went down the same day?
I’m really trying not to get my hopes up, but the suspense is killing me!

Welcome Home, little lady

Fingers crossed and hoping that she has finally been ID!

I agree! I haven't seen any case where both pages have been down.

If her name is Kathy or Cathleen or another variant I am going to flip out.

I am trying not to get too excited BUT I am hoping and praying she is going home. I know NamUs updates, but it doesn't seem usual to me to take down a Doe's entire page. What about the Texas DPS? Anyone know if that's usual?

Unfortunately I think it's too early to assume she was identified, but I really, really hope she was!

I think Doe Network doesn't even take the Doe pages down, and just edits them to say Identified. I know it took a while for them to update Marcia's after she was ID'd.

Not trying to get ahead of myself here, but if I recall correctly, when both of the DNA Doe Project's Texas cases (Lee County John Doe 1984 aka James Hamm and Live Oak Doe) were identified, their Texas DPS pages were also taken down immediately.

Desperately hoping this is the case here too!

It will be interesting to see if she was 14-16 age range, per the header of all these threads. I've long had my doubts every time I see that header. I realize it was a different era but hitchhikers are seldom that young. Note the bar graph and the spike at 18. Extremely low numbers below 17. Early 20s is highest:

I have been following this case for a long time. I cant wait to know her name, her back story, and what she looked like while alive.

I wish there was someone we could ask. Not for details, not yet, but to verify simply yes or no, has she been ID'd.

Does anyone want to volunteer to call the Walker County Sheriff Department on Monday?
