You have to edit your page and manually delete the text. It leaves an empty post. Some override with DBM (deleted by me).
I see that too. Could be. But also crazy that wouldn’t concern initial responders.
Here is a close up. Quoting myself to include source.
No problem. Glad you’re here. I guess that coloring could even be just worn areas but definitely notable. Makes me wonder even more if his glasses survived impact.Yes!! @diggndeeperstill that is exactly what I was seeing. Thank you for making it visible. I’m still new here and don’t know how everything works
I’ve considered amnesia. But I keep thinking that if someone picked him up and took him to a hospital or somewhere else, they would have come forward by now. And most people would call 911 if they encountered an injured person with amnesia in the middle of the night—not just pick him up. And I’m sure they’ve checked all the hospitals. So I don’t know. I think if he did have amnesia, he’s still out there not too far from the search area. What if he got a ride from someone trying to help him. Maybe this person not a local but headed out of town. They might not know he’s considered “missing” maybe he wanted to leave his life and start over. Maybe the car wreck was final straw. We don’t know mental health, what his life is like, was he passing school or failing? Did his parents even know he was on the way home (probably answered but I don’t remember)
If my grown grown son is traveling I say text me when you arrive, let me know when you’re leaving Etc. Just a habit I picked up from my family. It’s a courtesy more than “I’m worried I really need to know” Maybe that’s just me. maybe the person who gave him a ride doesn’t know anything. I’ve asked several family members of mine and we live in Houston have they heard of 21 yr old man missing after car wreck in Luling? No. My mom reads Houston chronicle. It’s not there as far as I know. There would be no legal reason for a Good Samaritan to call police. He’s 21 he can do what he wants. It’s happened before.
bottom line the public has about 300 pieces of 1,000 piece puzzle. (Mental health, family circumstances, school, etc )
I hope if this is the case he calls to let family know he’s ok.
Another alternative is amnesia.
He left phone 1. He didn’t want to be tracked 2. He couldn’t find it or didn’t remember he had one. hope he’s located and it’s a happy ending.
true. Unless he didn’t have amnesia and said take me somewhere else. That’s the best case scenario. I know unlikely.I’ve considered amnesia. Where exactly are the uncapped wells located in relation to the search site or site of auto crash, or do we even know?I keep thinking he fell into one of the uncapped wells as he wandered (stumbled?) about as being picked up by someone, yet they didn't call the police, or take to a hospital, is just hard for me to believe. For what reason would they do that? Not to rob someone stranded on the road as he had no wallet in which to steal.
Have they checked those more than just peered inside? I don't know what you use... radar or something like they did for the pond to distinguish shapes in the water.

Great work finding this! Thank you.I found this interesting article about "orphan" oil wells in Texas.
You can enter an address and the map will show where some of these wells are located:
Abandoned Texas oil wells seen as "ticking time bombs" of contamination
It looks like there are at least three orphan wells off of Salt Flat Rd.

How on earth DPS gave his belongings back to parents without any concern before investigating is unbelievable to me.
Oh I get that. I just don’t know how you determine no evidence of a crime that fast. I think they have sort of backtracked that decision as well.Going back to the earliest days, there's never been any reports that LE suspects foul play in the crash or missing person case. When there is no evidence of a crime, authorities hands are essentially tied and it makes sense that his parents would retrieve their son's property and perhaps try private means to access JL's electronics such as his phone, computer, etc.. Out of desperation, JL's parents can go so far as to hack his equipment for access if need be whereas authorities cannot. Nonetheless, it seems to me by all accounts that his family is working closely with LE.
MOO
This is great! I wonder if there are more out there that are unknown. These uncapped wells have worried me from the beginning. Although he’d have to leave the road and probably jump a fence to get to them.I found this interesting article about "orphan" oil wells in Texas.

I guess sometimes these wells are repurposed by landowners: “The Railroad Commission will take action on any well to plug or repair it, when we have evidence the well is an abandoned oil or gas well,” said Ramona Nye, an agency spokeswoman. “If the well has been transferred over for use by a private landowner for irrigation or for a water supply well, the Railroad Commission no longer has jurisdiction or authority to plug the well.”
what stage was the moon at that night? Any natural source of light available to him at all? This is great! I wonder if there are more out there that are unknown. These uncapped wells have worried me from the beginning. Although he’d have to leave the road and probably jump a fence to get to them.
