UPDATE: November Death of Jordan Davenport Ruled a Suicide
There have been no news articles following this case since Jordan’s death back in November. Given the known circumstances in the case, it’s quite baffling that Jordan’s manner of death was ruled a suicide. First some background:
According to an article form KTRV Channel 13, Jordan escorted a friend home in the Towne Lake neighborhood after a Halloween party. From there, Jordan somehow ended up in a physical altercation with two men (According to TMZ - one being an NFL free agent Khalif Barnes) after accessing the backyard of Scott Montgomery in a gated section of the Towne Lake community.
From there, things went south quickly. According to a now deleted Facebook post from Montgomery’s wife, Khalif and Scott chased and “beat down” Jordan after “pleading” to the men that his friend had dropped him off. According to an article from KTRK Channel 13, he was then chased to a bridge where they lost sight of Jordan.
Now according to an autopsy report released to the public last week, Jordan was seen jumping from the bridge into the water with no other persons in the vicinity via surveille video from a nearby address. The report concluded that Jordan’s cause of death was drowning and the manner of death was suicide. Jordan’s head had two large lacerations which could possibly be linked to this altercation.
Given these circumstances, does this look like a guy that was trying to kill himself or to evade his attackers? If anyone has any further information on this, let me know. Media has gone silent.
