So they confirmed with 100% certainty that he had been home AFTER the airport drop? I find that even more concerning that he would leave the vehicle running, with cell phone and wallet in the vehicle and then go home and call...no one? No one to get the vehicle, no one to take him to a hospital (if he was injured), not a call to his WIFE? If he went to a hospital they would certainly get info on who to call IF he was coherent enough to give a name or number. And we sit this many weeks later with no call from anyone?
LE has his cell - they should be contacting the last people who called in or he dialed out to.
Even if he was injured, I find it almost incomprehensible that a hospital wouldn't have made contact with SOMEONE, be it LE to state they have a "John Doe" who could be matched up to a missing person's case - OR - next of kin to at least let someone know he was there. Now, I know that there are privacy laws preventing them from just randomly calling people (especially if the patient does NOT want to be found) - but I would venture a bet that at least LE would be notified.
LE then contacts the family and simply states "He has been located and is safe" - they don't tell you more than that, just to let them know he has been located.
Something is VERY off here...
