It's now been 50 years since Mary Rachel Trlica, Lisa Renee Wilson, and Julie Anne Moseley went missing. You are not forgotten!

There is an article in the Daily Mail (I know, a bit of a rag but I glance occasionally) Particularly sad, as it includes pictures of Rachel's elderly mother with her brother. :( Other photos I have never seen there too.

This one shows how young Julie really was. Just awful.

What an awful article. Enough effort to get pics that I never seen before (great mall pic), but very shallow and brief story giving people false impression of everything and sharing Lecia MgGee murder's details wrong as well as her name.
It's been 50 years, and there is a lot of sources, they got three family members to talk to and they just wasted their opportunity to write a really good article. It feels just painfully wasteful, like basically polished first draft.

If you are waiting for a good, error free article from the Daily Mail you will be waiting a long time.

The second part of the interview with Rusty on "Fort Worth Memories" has been released. Interesting pieces of information is coming out.

"Fort Woth Memories" is a YouTube channel. The interview was 4 days ago.

Is that the same one Debra was supposed to attend but "just didn't show up" for? I think that was a channel with just a man's name, can't remember it off hand.

It is indeed "Fort Worth Memories" just confirmed that. It is on "live" section.

Yes, as I said, it is not exactly the most reliable news source. Occasionally they do stumble on stuff others do not have though. I shared primarily for the photos. My personal opinion is we never know what might be useful when trying to help. Sometimes the inconsistencies can also provide clues, or help someone approach in a new way, spark a memory from someone following who might know something, etc.

50 Christmases is a long time. I wish it was some kind of golden jubilee but it's not. Maybe the future will hold some answers for the families of Julie, Renee and Rachel.

Crazy how much the world has changed in the past fifty years. These days it would be near impossible to abduct individuals from a public mall in the middle of the day without being spotted due to all the phones and security cameras that would be around. But back in 1974 there was none of that and unless someone heard them yelling for help they likely wouldn't have even been noticed.

Whatever happened the abductors clearly knew what vehicle the girls were driving so they were either being followed to the mall or were attacked while they were getting back in their car.

After that though their bodies could be anywhere so no way of knowing where to look.

Or the presence of cameras in the present day would show if the whole trip to the mall was staged. But I’m still not convinced they made it there that day.

If it was staged would they have really taken a 9 year old with them? Granted teenagers often don't make real good decisions but I imagine even they would realize bringing someone that young into something like that wouldn't have been a great idea.

Was there abuse going on in the family?

I mean the car staged at the mall to make it look like they really went to the mall when the event could have happened somewhere else.
In other words, the car went to the mall but the girls didn’t.

Is there a lot of skepticism about the reports that they were seen in the mall?

There is, plenty.
Obviously family members and cops may have whiteness testimonies or even some sort of proofs that girls indeed were at the mall, but as far as publicly available info goes there is no reliable report (not a single one, not to mention multiple ones). Plenty of stories about the possible sightings, but it's all very blurry.
Long story short it's either:
a) someone who knew at least one of the girls pretty well and could be trusted as able to recognize them with full confidence... but no close interaction, significant distance, holiday crowd everywhere...
b) close interaction but it comes from someone who didn't knew any of the girls at all...
c) significant time passed between the disappearance and first time sighting was reported
d) third party delivering the whiteness testimony - someone was told by someone about what they saw and that first someone delivered that info to the cops,
e) high possibility that whiteness who knew at least one of the girls and allegedly saw or interacted with them at the mall was changing stories multiple times.

And between hard and impossible what's uncertain, what misreported, what fake but planted to see some people's reaction...
There is no report like "Jane Smith who was Lisa's classmate saw her at the store, said hi and noticed her new jeans".
So many people doubt if they made it to the mall at all.
