TX - Juliet & Cavanaugh Ramirez, die in hot car, Weatherford, 26 May 2017 *Arrest*

  • #121
So there we have two scenarios...I wouldn't in fear of hurting my children with glass and you would in order to get to them seconds faster. Goes to show our experiences sometimes are not what others would do in a given situation:).

Does a hatchback have an interior handle? I have owned hatchbacks and I can't remember if they have a door handle on the inside.

Hatchback 4 door car with front passenger window broken.

ETA - This is the car towed away according to MSM.

Lots of hatchbacks have four doors. Actually, if it only had two doors it would be more difficult to open, because the doors are wider and heavier to allow access to the rear seats.

Hmm I guess it's 50/50. I googled hatchbacks and this is what I got.

That's true but I can't imagine being in the situation and if my kids are obviously non responsive I just don't know. I'd do whatever I had to do to get to them.

Yes, I wasn't saying that they all have two doors. I have had both.

I got you. It was me thinking hatchbacks were typically two door. I've never had one so wasn't sure .

Oh I'm sorry I was agreeing with you and I totally understand.

I think you and I would get to our kids as best and as fast as we could, we just have different approaches, nothing right nor wrong.

As a side point I gave my husband the same scenario (kids locked in front seat passed out) except I said loudly several times "which door which door" to try to cause a little stress and he said back driver side door. lol

Post #122 is the actual car.

4 door, hatchback with the front passenger side window knocked out and covered by a towel on a tow truck.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I think *most* mothers would do whatever it takes to get to their children.

Not the front doors which someone up thread said they were located in the front seat. I've not personally read that information from MSM though re where they were found.

ETA - the front passenger window was broken and if my kids were in the front seat I'd break out the back seat window thinking I was protecting them from flying glass. idk

I know. That's exactly what I was thinking. Makes me wonder if the kids were really in the back. No way would I break the window on the door that my kids were next to. I haven't read anything about them being in the front except for a post here with no link.

So you and I (and my hubby lol) would break the window opposite of where our kids were (front or back). So lets say she followed our logic...this means they were in the back seat. Is this were LE found them? Or had she removed them? Perhaps pulled them out (for the record I would have). I wonder how LE would know if they were locked in their carseats forgotten? I wonder if there is any forensic evidence that could ever be recovered to show this?

Note: I'm not saying this is what happened. I'm wondering if there is any way to prove/disprove it?

I have all those same questions. Really hoping they can figure these things out. As a mother I know I would've pulled them out, performed cpr, done everything I could've before the police got there. Unfortunately it puts a wrench in the investigation, but it's the natural thing to do imo.

I've searched CNN, Fox News, People, USA Today, ABC News so far and still no indication where the kids were found front or back or outside the car:(

Please stick to the known facts of the case, everyone, and leave the rumors out of it.

If she could open the door to get in, why couldn't she open it to get out?

I've been making that point from the very start.

Agree!

Except if they were in the back seat they probably wouldn't know to go into the front seat to get out if child locks were on the back doors.

Because toddlers are irrational beings. If you've never had a toddler accidentally lock themselves in a room such as a bathroom, and then get hysterical because they can't then figure out how to get out, I salute you. Myself, I've had to dismantle a couple of doorknobs for exactly such reasons.

I can see this happening.
