I don’t think it’s a hoax. Even if it turns out to be, IMHO, better to take it seriously & be wrong vs. taking it lightly & being wrong (finding out that it was a real person desperately in need of help).

I saw a pic of the home in daylight. The front porch area in front of the entrance doesn’t appear to show any steps. It looks like the front porch is on the same level as the ground. The video shows a Bush with a few taller stray twigs. Can anyone recognize the type of bush? If so, we might find how tall they typically grow and estimate her height. At least get an idea if she is taller or shorter than an average female.
That could enable us to rule out short or tall missing persons. I don’t want to violate any rules by posting closeups of the house in daylight, so I won’t post a link or upload a pic but I found the photos on the Daily Mail.

I think it probably bears a closer relationship to the Houston BDSM scene than to so-called devil worship.
It is kinda one and the same when you look up both. They go hand and hand. That info in my links. Talks about satanic bondage and orgies.

Instead of focusing on it being a missing person I instead searched for arrests in that community to see if there were sex offenders or criminals close, and it popped up a woman named Amanda that was arrested in the past, that lives or lived on sunrise oaks ,that looks alot like the lady in the video. I also found that persons facebook and she hasn't posted anything since August 20th,I don't want to give her name but if you google the subdivisions address and arrest you should see what i mean.I sent it to sheriff and asked if they could do a welfare check.

I hope you're right, but wouldn't someone in the neighborhood group recognize it was her?

I am posting this still shot from the video because it looks like maybe there is a brace or something on her knee. I guess maybe it could be like what Katrina1978 posted & she does have pants on, but it seems like she doesn't. What do you guys think?
Artifact like maybe BG’s pant leg?? (If that is an artifact on BG)

Here's the other thing that frustrates me on this... LE put this video out asking for our help, but you KNOW this isn't the entire video. Release more than 7 seconds so we can all get a better look at her. Even this ABC article seems to have half a second more, which gives a quick snap of her in profile.. which would be very helpful for us to have in trying to idenetify her: Police search for mystery woman who rang doorbell and then disappeared

yeah, the new search function is a doozy!

Texas Police Are Searching for a Shackled Woman Seen in 'Suspicious' Surveillance Footage

According to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, a resident of Sunrise Ranch in Montgomery, Texas was awakened on August 24 at 3:20 a.m. local time by their doorbell. But when they came to the door, no one was there.

After reviewing home video surveillance footage, the resident saw a barefoot woman without pants and what looks like a broken restraint hanging from her right wrist. The woman walked up to the front door and rang the doorbell.

Video and pic at link

I certainly hope the person responsible/the perpetrator for shackling this woman, hasn't caught up with her.

She's wearing medical restraints. She's not in a hospital patient gown, so my bet is that she's an "escaped" ambulance transport. Patients who are combative due to psychiatric disorders, drugs, or head injuries must be restrained in the ambulance. It's not illegal to refuse medical or psychiatric treatment, so the ambulance crew didn't call the police when she bolted.
Then I think the police would have heard from EMS and not have posted it.

The object around her knee could be a makeshift bandage. A stretchy pair of leggings can be easily tied and tucked to bandage a bloody banged up knee.

Is LE saying anything about this. They must know there is a huge interest in this woman!

This case is really bothering me. I do not think it is a hoax. Most people are aware of “Ring” doorbells recording and she makes no attempt to hide her face. I am baffled that there are no updates. I want to at least hear they didn’t get a fingerprint match back.

I think those neighbors /people of places within say 3 miles should all get together and willingly have their homes searched with groups of them outside, watching. Whomever resists or says, “that’s unconstitutional!” is (imo) a terrible person given the nature of this situation. Would give police a focus and peer pressure is a powerful thing.

This is my opinion. In this sort of situation, I would never try to “uphold” my rights with something like this.

But I’m bothered that they haven’t updated at all. At least let the public know you’re pulling out all the stops.

Seeing this in slo-mo, I don't think there is anything on her knee. It looks like it was a flash of the piece of restraint that flapped right past her knee as she was swinging her arm and stepping forward. MOO

If she's an "escaped" ambulance transport who bolted in the emergency room triage area, she's likely not going to come forward on her own to talk to police unless she wants to pay the ambulance service for the $750-$1000 ride to the hospital.
EMS would have talked to the police. It’s been two days and I’m sure they woke them up if they believed it was possible. I’m sure the police are comparing medical restraints used in the area to these, I hope. I also have to think that someone would have recognized this woman as a friend, as working somewhere, etc. if this was a hoax.

I was thinking it could just be the poor quality (grainy/pixelated) of the video making it look that way at that moment? JMO

This slow-mo version makes me lean more toward the "scheme" idea. I'll just leave it at that since if I'm wrong, I don't want to be commenting on a victim. But the video of the Canada scheme case posted upthread and seeing this one - I'm getting the same vibe.

I hope LE is able to figure it out.

The Canada case was real. The suspect is still on the loose. It was speculated it could be scheme idea.

Yes, that's what I mean. The people in the Canada case are suspected of faking that scene on the doorstep to get people to open the door to their home so the home could be robbed.

I lean toward scheme in the Texas video. I'll change my mind if we learn something more about it, of course.
