Yes, age can be very deceptive if one only uses looks as a factor when considering it. Really makes me glad that we have options such as Blood type, fingerprints, DNA, and dental to help us out.

I have in my notes that somebody from WS submitted Rose Cole. I am not sure who and haven't heard any followup. She is not in the rule-out list on NamUs.

what is really crazy is i just looked it up and it said the boy that died who's ID he stole, died near SHERMAN, TX.... which is VERY VERY close to Longview, tx, its off hwy 75 just north of DALLAS. wack-a-doodle....

I have always thought that 454UMOH was a prison escapee. Frank Morris had no known family and the Anglin brothers family are sure they survived.

I never like to comment until I have read through everything about the case and I just have to say "WHEWWWWW!!!" so many questions with no hint of answers. I have to wonder if this lady knew who she was. maybe she was left with a relative of her parents as a small child or possibly she was left with a non relative. I remember a story years ago maybe in the 90s about a young mother who left her infant with virtual strangers in a baby sitting situation and didn't return for her child for about 4 or 5 years. the family had taken some legal steps due to abandonment but iirc the little girl was returned to her mother. ot I know, but just suggesting that maybe something like this happened to our Lori. in that case, she may have been searching for herself, or her family as some have suggested. it makes me very sad that she had to die like that alone and obviously unstable to the point of taking her own life when she had that little girl who she loved so much.

Anybody else think she was possibly fleeing from embezzlement charges? Some of these that flee do not even end up with charges/paper trail. This would explain so much. Maybe 402 months is the amount of time before a statute of limitations?

Not sure about embezzlement, but it goes along with one of the common themes associated with her story about her "father" being a failed stock broker, the Lawyer Ben Perkins Jr. who was a bankruptcy lawyer, and now this lawyer (law firm) that you mentioned. Money, money, money.

I'm new here so please be gentle! I'm not sure if I've seen this discussed elsewhere but forgive me if it has. This is such a sad case.

I was thinking about how LEK seemingly began to unravel after becoming a mother. I have a strong feeling that parenthood caused a lot of painful issues to resurface for her, things she had coped with/ignored prior to this. Things to do with her childhood and her own parents, traumatic and painful memories which became impossible to ignore. I believe this could have a lot to do with the timeline of the last two years of her life and her suicide. I feel that there were demons from her past that we're catching up with her emotionally and psychologically.

Such a sad case, as I said, and so many apparent dead ends.

I haven't been able to get fully caught up yet, but I am still of the opinion that the missing link lies somewhere in Idaho.

The residents of the address which 'BST' gave on her SS application, it turned out, regularly took in wayward people and seemed to be somewhat of a hostel. I don't think she just picked that address out of the blue, I think she really stayed there at some point.

Whether she had ever heard of BST when she arrived there is anyone's guess - but my thoughts are:

If she had already known she was going to become BST, she probably went to Idaho from Washington - it might make sense that someone would advise her to go to a different state from where the real BST's death record was. Otherwise, why go to Idaho?

If she hadn't already known anything about BST, then she could very well have been using her real identity when she first arrived in Idaho. I'm kind of leaning toward this thought because it didn't really seem like she had tried to alter her appearance or anything at that point. It seems like her scheme was just beginning...

Or, less likely, she could have lived in Idaho all along, and known about the hostel just because it was nearby.

I also wonder how she was getting around. Hitchhiking? Bus? Did she have a companion with a car at that point that she was traveling with?

I am back to looking at the failed stockbroker angle and found one from Utah that relocated to Arizona (initially to flee charges). Seems the timing is right. Just am not so good at trying to figure out if he had kids.

Hi everyone! I have been lurking for forever because I'm so puzzled by this case. Just a thought, because of the Wn. rather than the WA that we think would normally appear on a official death certificate, do we have access to the other siblings death certificates? I would assume they would be identical if legit and the numbers would be in order. Has anyone seen them?

When the Turner girls were born in Washington state (late 1960's), WN was the abbreviation used at that time and probably still in 1971 at the time of their deaths. I am from WA and in the early 1970's it was still WN. Not sure when it changed and info. in the internet is sketchy!

I think these links show a good reason why a young (no pun intended) girl might flee and no longer want to be associated with her family or past. Especially if she no longer has family. "Princess" from what I can get from some articles was last known by someone involved to be in Nevada where the FBI kept an eye on her for awhile. The family had been apparently living in Tuscon, Arizona prior to the attack. A people search for Princess Y. finds some near the same age in pertinent States. This girl also seems to be the right age. I just don't know what happened to her after that. I wonder if Snelling could follow up with the FBI On this one or someone could follow up with witnesses by showing young FLEKs pic to them.
