I deleted, tysm

See, she had the chance to leave M with her mom. Moo
I believe the maternal gma works...
So it would be difficult for her to take care of the children...
At least she was reportedly at work when the traumatic head injury occurred....

JMO...

UPDATE! Police: Maleah’s step-dad has missed several meetings w/ police. PD has reached out to him to come do a sketch of alleged suspects. He hasn’t come in. Detectives would like to talk to him. #abc13 #FindMaleahDavis #FindMaleah #MISSINGCHILD #MaleahDavis

I have a hard time believing an unlocked car left in a strip center for any length of time wasn't stolen or stripped.
I occasionally shop at that Walmart and go to that Dollar Tree in the middle the day and there is no way that car would be safe for that length of time in that area.

Update: Stepdad of missing girl Maleah Davis hasn’t showed up to work at PharMEDium in a week, his coworker tells me. Darion Vence was sent home because he was vomiting last week. He was officially “home with the flu” by Friday. This week he isn’t answering calls about absence.

Anyone see this?

Friday was May 3 so it's interesting per the timeline of when Maleah went missing. I wonder if anyone actually saw DV vomiting?

And I hope his job didn't allow him access to the medications the company provides. Just sayin'.

Her surgery was March 19, IIRC. Can't seem to find a link, so either it was said in a video or I am mis-remembering. This article says late March/early April.
Stepdad's Statements 'Contradictory' in Case of Missing Girl, 4, He Claimed Was Abducted: Police

BB left for the funeral on 4/30, per BB2.

You're welcome. Khou11 really helped me with today's updates, lol! :p

The surgery dates are also confusing. The following links say it was August 2018:
Family car of missing 4-year-old girl found: Police
Why did missing 4-year-old Maleah Davis need brain surgery?
But these links say "in the past two months and "recently."
Police searching for 5-year-old possibly taken by three men in north Houston
Houston girl, 4, ‘abducted’ by 3 men in blue pickup, recently had brain surgery, police say

So which is it?? Argh!

Maybe he is with the "Hispanics"

Almost married to a Hispanic here in Canada whom I love and cherish and this made me laugh. We all need little giggles.

Good question. More red flags here:

  • BB did not have her house keys and spent the night with BB2 [11]
Saturday, May 4, 2019
  • BB told ABC13 they called police Sat a.m. to file a report because they were concerned they had not heard from DV, but detective clearly stated no report was filed [2].
  • BB2 explained that on Sat, they went to the PD again when nobody was contacting them and found out they had to fill out more forms, call the missing person’s unit, etc. [11]
So, your kids are missing and your fiancee is missing and you just calmly spend the night at mom's house? And then she claims she filed a police report on Saturday, but the PD says that didn't happen. Oh, well, we went back, you know, because no one contacted us and we found out, oh, there was all this paperwork and stuff we needed to fill out. And other people to contact.

What? Where the hell is the call to 911? "I can't find my fiance and he has our kids, who are missing. I'm worried."

Well when you add all that up, yikes!

It doesn't mean that at all. She isn't a named POI. CPS just took away parental rights because of the disappearance.

He. Not she.

I'd rush to the scene if I were Mom too. Kinda speaks to her innocence?

Absolutely. I would expect her to show up. She arrived with Maleah's godmother. I'm guessing they were informed through social media or reporters. I'd be at every scene if it was my kid.

#MaleahDavis’ aunt reached out to me; says her sister is a “real sweet girl” who was in Massachusetts w/ her from 4/30-5/3 for their dad’s funeral. (This photo is at the burial). Despite what people think, she says Brittany is NOT involved in dissapearance.

I'm glad the sister did this. Too much speculation about there not being a service. Not everyone has a full funeral.

Yes, there was an obit published. Maleah's grandfather died on April 11, but neither the funeral home, nor the church mentioned in the obit, provided any details about a funeral.

ETA: Obituary for Benjamin J Bowens Sr. | Harrell Funeral Home

I don't find this odd and I've seen evidence of a service. I think they had to get the money together for a service. When my aunt died we had only a small graveside service even though she was cremated.

Man. Can any one be that stupid? He doesn't even bother to fake that she was in the car alive?

Gitana, these kids didn't use car seats. I'm impressed there was one in there at all. There were pictures of Maleah at 2 and 3 years in just a seat belt. So I figured the youngest (2 next week) was out of a seat now too.

I'm confused, shouldn't there have been 2 car seats in the car?

No there should have been 3. The youngest and Maleah SHOULD have been rear facing. AAP says rear face till 2 and laws are changing as well. Maleah should have been rear facing due to her brain injury. The 5 year old should have still been in a harness. That's what SHOULD have happened.

the lethargy on the 10th might indicate previous head injury but the diarrhea and vomiting blood would seem more likely (IMO not a dr.) to indicate an illness or an injury to the stomach, spleen, liver, something like that. Poor little punkin, she had a lot going on in her life for one so wee.

Yet it wasn't hidden. That is what doesn't scream abuse to me. Posting about the illnesses/injuries and asking for advice or help doesn't sound like something you'd do if you knew it was abuse. So Mom gets some credibility from me there.

Both.
She had emergency surgery in August to remove the piece of skull. Then surgery in March to put it back.

Also:

How did she know he wasn't at the apt.? Where did she think he was? Where did she think the kids were? How did she get in the apt. when she finally went there?

Interesting that they contacted the media. Defense Strategy? MOO
Obviously reading social media and an attempt at damage control.

I'd like to know when he was sent home vomiting.

BB left on Tuesday (unsure of time). So, DV would have had to have been home with Maleah on Wed & Thursday (possibly Tuesday) since she was sick and hasn't been to daycare since April.

The way this is written makes me think he was sent home on Thursday since he was "officially" home with the flu on Friday.

Or was there someone else that was supposed to have been watching Maleah during the time he was at work? And if so, why haven't we heard from that person?

ETA: MSM says he went to daycare Friday to pick up the youngest and Maleah was not with him. Sooooo, where was she?
