I don't think any state requires a specific amount of time. Only 12 states allow common law marriage, Texas is one of them. Jmo

They have to sign an oath for it to be legally binding common law from what I’ve read. I’m not sure if they signed off or not. Some articles say her boyfriend and others say common law. I know nothing about common law marriage.

Ok I've thought about that video of him with the laundry basket and garbage bag all darn night. And just like someone else stated above, IMO-if they have this video from what now does appear to be Friday, then LE can also get video telling everyone that came and went from the apartment since hopefully Tues. (if not erased). Keep in mind that DV was at least at work on Thurs. if he got sent home sick, so who was watching Maleah and her brothers then? Maybe daycare for younger brother? LE has to know if any friend or relative of DV, BB, or CD showed up at all during that time period (Tues-Fri) and if any of the 3 children are in the video. Also some of the news articles state that DV's son was with him in the apartment video on probably Fri. Was this before or after he was at daycare to pick up his son? I'm sure if some other responsible adult had Maleah during the time of the video they already would of come forward. And yes if Maleah was really with DV and his son going to pick up BB from the airport, then there is no way she wouldn't be seen on that video on Friday! I'm so mad and sad right now. I think she was really in that garbage bag.
And also what the activist said about LE having proof of a crime and blood found with luminol and cleaned up. IMO-I don't think LE does know where DV is or they would of been able to arrest him based on evidence of that and with the help of the video from that week. DV has to very stupid if he didn't know there was video there that could tell LE pretty much all they need to know. Anyway just all IMO.Edited for grammar

There are multiple references to DV in images with bottles of bleach and also of image of DV leaving apartment with son but not M. Has anyone seen these images. I’ve only seen the one of DV with the laundry basket.

People are seeing a face. But it's really just the bag itself and an optical illusion. Maleah's face wouldn't be the same color as the bag, she wouldn't have open eyes, her head wouldn't be that small and why would he carefully wrap her up in a bag to avoid detection but leave her face exposed?

The power of suggestion.....
He would not carry an exposed body in broad daylight, imo. Especially in an apt setting, he could have encountered numerous neighbors. Jmo
I’m not even certain M is in the basket. If he needed two bottles of Clorox, he had a rather large mess to clean. Therefore, he had “things” to get rid of.

The security camera that captures him carrying a laundry basket looks similar to a 720p Zmodo camera (https://www.amazon.com/Zmodo-720P-Outdoor-Network-Camera/dp/B00ZQGUGQG/) I have 6 of these recording at high quality on a 1TB hard drive and that gives me about 3 weeks of video. Whatever is or is not on that video should be enough to get warrants to get phone/car gps data...

Are we suppoeed to believe all this was going on, under dcfs's nose after the children were returned 3 Mos ago?....
Yes, I can believe it. Jmo
Abuse isn’t always obvious.
DCFS wasn’t with them 24/7.

I read it as self soothing -- shades of CW rocking back and forth during his porch interview.
Joann Cunningham hiding her face, burrying it in her lawyers shoulder.

If the neighbor consented, could BB have live feed to her phone?
it is anybody's guess but I would guess there are cameras inside the apartment because most systems come with 4 cameras and I would not give access to anybody to see cameras inside my house. This looks like a camera that records onto a NVR to a drive, many can also be connected to the internet but do not require it to record

It will be interesting to know if LE verified all if her flight info.

Right now I am not buying anything either of them say. The stories get weirder, not better. I can't help but think the molestation is just an accusation to try and make BB appear as the victim. Are we suppoeed to believe all this was going on, under dcfs's nose after the children were returned 3 Mos ago?....

None of it makes sense. BB is just trying to extricate herself from a situation both she and DV created.

I really wish LE would publicly verify what they know about her most recent trip to MA. When did she make the plans, were the plans changed at all? Flight dates changed, rescheduled? Was her boarding verified?

So many unanswered questions. The weather and time is causing me to think Maleah may not be found.
Per BB2, her return flight was delayed. I'd have to go back and listen but I think she said by about 2 hours? KHOU 11 News Houston @KHOU

They have to test the evidence. They're doing that and awaiting results, IMO. I may be in the minority but I think LE knows where he is. MOO

Have we heard from BB2 recently?

Is she distancing herself from this?
I noticed she was not by her daughter's side this time, during the last (I don't even know what to call it) presentation? Fiasco?

The buck still stops with mom. Especially if you have info about your child being abused. Fear of your man is not a reason to fail to protect your children. Fearing your man is a reason to get him the hell away from your kids.

Thank you so much for this. I agree. There are women's shelters everywhere where they work hard to protect women and children and get them connected with resources necessary to getting away from an abuser.

I would die trying. But not before I killed any man who beat my child.

Regardless, she was all over Facebook defending her man before this.

Once you see it also, you can't un-see it. Anything's possible with this guy. A possibility is he didn't tie the bag up and it slipped down, as bags do. Think about what's transpired. He winged it....I don't know if its a face or not. But it does lend to the inability for a fair trial, since an overwhelming majority see it and believe this happened.

Yes, I think it was more an expression of grief and disbelief. Even when she did those first few interviews she must have known, based on what we know now, that Maleah was very likely gone.
I do think she is overwhelmed with guilt and shame for her role in all this.
She knew what was going on and left the child alone with him anyway. Imo

Oh I'm not saying she was actually feeling grief or disbelief. But I do think she was trying to express it.

I saw it. It's creepy. The head would be too small and her skin isn't the same color as a trash bag.

I share your sentiment. It's insane really, what has happened here.

But the constitution doesn't allow people to be forced to talk.
Of course. Just stating what I personally need and want to happen. Not what legally can happen. :)

Me too....

Technically, pending a hearing on 5/22/19, the children were said the temp custody of DCFS.

Would BB be required to notify the state if she was leaving town?

If so, wouldn't state have to approve the guardian during BB's absence?

Perhaps BB failed to notify the agency of her plans....

Being compliant does not seem to be high on her list of priorities.

MOO

The mother never said a word in this press conference. Is it true that LE could not use any of this against her because with this Q guy doing all the talking it would be considered
Oh I'm not saying she was actually feeling grief or disbelief. But I do think she was trying to express it.
hearsay?
