I can’t help but to think this attorney is doing this for publicity. Nobody answered me earlier about him. Does anyone know if he’s appointed, paid for by the defendant, or if he is doing this on his own will?

IMO, no one currently knows the answer about the attorney's compensation.

Tim Miller of Texas Equusearch was interviewed yesterday and the video was posted earlier today in this thread. He stated they would be searching today, so yes.

Yes, I meant as of this morning, when the guy involved in the search stated it was not true that DV was talking or had confessed. I can't remember his name but it's in the video posted this morning. He gave me the impression that he was not cooperating with LE at all. Imo

And the baby then died while she was left untreated, leaving DV to dispose of the body? Just completely hypothetical scenario but it’s the only way I can make sense of what has happened here.

I have learned here that good people cannot make sense of the things evil people do... You can make sense of an accident or even abuse, but then you hear things like garbage bags, gas can, dismembered. There is no way to even comprehend that, much less make sense of it.

Sorry, I’m just catching up after leaving work. Are you referring to Burton? He doesn’t seem to be a pure criminal attorney (as people would typically have in a high profile case), nor does he appear to be a court appointed attorney, he is in private practice. He is either being paid by DV/DV’s family, or else he might be doing it pro-bono, but that seems rather odd (not typically the case an attorney would take pro bono).

He was either paid for by DV/family/friend or he is doing it pro-bono. That's all we can surmise.

I could see a situation where she was somehow used in a fight. It makes my heart scream to think of it.

ETA, she was so small and with her surgery she was fragile, just getting thrown into something could have killed her it seems.

That’s what I was saying. But i feel like it wasn’t abuse That was planned like some of the pedo allegations would suggest MOO. Maybe there was a fight over pics. Maybe a child was in some of the inappropriate pics. JMO Maybe that’s what the fight was about. There are some seriously sick people in this world. And this case is very strange MOO. These are all total speculation. I have no way of knowing, I just watch and read an absurd amount true crime.

Definitely, especially if she wasn’t wearing her helmet, which sadly we have seen she wasn’t as she was entering the home.

I wonder about how discipline/punishment was administered in that household and if she was struck in the head, even to the point of being pushed into furniture/the wall/the floor.

I think we deduced this based on the fact he has a private practice and is not a member of the public defender’s office.
