And if the three guys only wanted Maleah, why did they take D and the other child and drive around with them?
Must be fun to take care of a toddler for 24 hours. Guess they took him to the bathroom and fed him and his sister as well. All while step dad slept in the truck. For 24 hours.

Oh dear Lord, Not again?! My question is why he didn’t have a cell phone? And how could he tell LE a timeline of waking up at 6:00pm? How did he know the time with no phone?

After looking at his FB, I am pretty sure he had to have a cell phone. He appears to be an up and coming rapper/musician, featured on a new album, and he did club shows. Very hard to believe a musician didn't have a cell phone. Next to impossible not got have one to book shows, schedule rehearsals, etc. And he appeared to have a nice car, etc, so he could afford to have a phone.

If he had one, why wouldn't he make sure to take it with him, when picking up someo0ne at a busy airport. nI couldn't imagine trying that these days, when you can't stop outside the terminal until your passenger arrives, and you have to drive round and round. How would you do that without communicating. And who wants to make a long busy drive with 2 very young children, without a cell phone?

And very good question, how did he know what time it was? Someone would tell him the time but wouldn't call 911 for a missing child?

''Vence said he was in and out of consciousness and didn't really know where he was until 6 p.m. Saturday. He told police when he woke up he was somewhere off Highway 6 in the Sugar Land area with his two-year-old in his arms.

He said he walked around and asked people for help but no one would come to his aid so he walked to Sugar Land Methodist with his son. He is said to have arrived at the hospital between 9 p.m. and 10 p.m.'''

BBM ( no clue why my font is in italics tonight )
Sorry but this is Texas and in the United States. No one watched a disoriented man stumble around a highway with a toddler in his arms and not offer to help for hours.

And that poor little baby boy had to be crying most of that time. Did he have water or milk or food or clean diapers at all for that 21 hours?

Interesting....LE doesn't appear to know about this based on response to a question at the presser.

I registered to search. There is recent court action and intervention from DCFS in regards to Mom's custody of children.

I used to be. Let me see if I can remember my login.

Last he remembers his 5 yr old girl was being driven off in a pick up, by 3 male strangers, and it took him 5 hours to find a way to call 911?

Actually it was almost 24 hours before somebody else called 911. He was in a fog due to being injured. Anybody follow the Jodie Arias case? She was in a fog (after she killed her boyfriend) and couldn't remember anything, and therefore couldn't answer critical questions that would have implicated her.

You may want to check Fort Bend County as well. Sugar Land is Fort Bend County.

He really doesn't know where he is until 6 p.m. on Saturday," said Holbrook.

Vence said he woke up on the side of Highway 6 near First Colony Mall. His son was with him, but Maleah was not.

Police said Vence went to Houston Methodist hospital in Sugar Land around 11 p.m. to seek treatment for his injuries with his son.

Illegally, in the back of a pick up truck. Wouldn't someone notice/report it or call in now, to say they saw man with 2 young children, riding in the bed of a truck?

Cops would be on that in minutes. If I kidnapped 3 people, I wouldn't drive around with them in the back like that---it would get me pulled over. I think 3 men would know about trying not to get pulled over if they were abducting a family.

If someone is unconscious that long and then really foggy even after for hours and hours, wouldn't that indicate a pretty serious injury? I mean the kind of injury where doctors would admit and test him and observe him?

So that's 4-5 hours. Based on this map, at worse, and this is a stretch, should be less than an hour.

Do I have this right?

Friday, May 3
  • DV is driving a silver 2011 Nissan Altima with TX paper tags 3092G9 to IAH with Maleah and her 2-year-old brother (“K”) to pick up Maleah’s mother, who was returning from MA.
  • DV hears a popping noise and pulls over, when a blue Chevrolet pickup w/crew cab, possibly a 2010, pulls behind him, two Hispanic males get out. One of them makes a comment that Maleah looks very nice, looks very sweet. The other male hits DV on the head and he loses consciousness.
  • Maleah’s mother calls BB to come and get her, but never reports DV or her children missing.
  • DV was in and out of consciousness, but at one point he was in the back of the suspects' truck with his son and Maleah and there were then three suspects in the vehicle driving them around.
  • Maleah is last seen approx 8 p.m.
Saturday, May 4
  • Maleah's mother tells ABC13 Eyewitness News they called police Saturday morning to file a report because they were concerned after not hearing from Vence., but Detective clearly stated no report was filed.
  • 2:54 p.m. - The Nissan Altima is seen on a traffic camera near Hwy 59 & State Hwy 6 in Sugar Land.
  • 6 p.m. DV woke up on the side of the SW Freeway near SH 6 in Sugar Land, about 22 miles SW of Houston - near First Colony Mall. His son is with him and he tries to summon help with no success. He walks with his son to Houston Methodist Sugar Land Hospital. (.4 miles from the mall) Google Maps
  • 10 or 11 p.m. – They arrive at the hospital, DV is treated for a head injury and police are called.
Sunday, May 5
  • Amber Alert is issued
  • Meleah is still missing
  • The Nissan Altima is still missing
  • The blue truck hasn’t been seen
  • The three men have not been found/identified
  • There are no witnesses to anything
  • There is no video footage of anything (other than Altima sighting on Sat)

He 'woke up' by a mall, but couldn't find anyone to call 911 for a man with a head wound and a baby boy, in a rainstorm, for his missing child?

It’s about a 20-25 minute walk. Additionally, there is some type of restaurant or retail store on every corner of this intersection!
