Can anyone familiar with southwest Houston tell me where Alief is?

West-southwest-ish of Houston, in the Katy/Sugarland area.

Fundraiser asking for $25,000 organized by AH, the boyfriend's mother. Just sayin'. Two others were pulled.

Two-year-old Maliyah Bass's adopted grandmother, Angel Harris, is in distress at the 5200 block of Carrolton Street after a small child's body was found deceased in Braes Bayou Sunday, Aug. 23, 2020, in Houston. Harris' son, Travion Thompson, has been dating Maliyah's mother, Sahara Simonee Ervin, for four months. The child was last seen playing at the playground of an apartment complex at 10600 block of Beechnut Street at 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

“adopted grandmother” is strong language for the mother of a boyfriend of four months.

I know. It bugs me a great deal
It must really hurt her actual family members. What an insensitive thing to do! And 4 months!!! What in the world!

Just sayin......many a relationship the BF has not even met the child at 4 months into it. Must be so confusing for these Children when things don't work out.

UH-OH!

Octavious Bass did ABC interview
Said last time he saw MB was in 2019 when she stayed with him for a month.

Was called by LE the morning MB went missing.
Said he was told by police his daughter "has been missing since 7:00 this morning" (7?)

Says the day before it happened he called the maternal grandma to see if MB could come stay with him a while.

And the next morning she was disappeared/dead

Uh oh is right:
The 2-year-old's father lives in Dallas and said he got a call from detectives that day when he got off work.

"He asked, 'Do you have your daughter?'" Octavious Bass recalled. "I was like, 'No' and they were like, 'She's been missing since 7:00 this morning.' In my mind, I was wondering what is a child doing outside at 7 o'clock in the morning."
...
Bass said the last time he saw Maliyah was in 2019 when he had her in Dallas for about a month.

Bass said he called Maliyah's maternal grandmother the day before the girl was reported missing, asking if he could bring her back to Dallas to spend time with him.

So we have a different timeline - possible error? But most interesting is that the bio dad asked to have Maliyah visit with him the day before she went missing. Coincidence? Was there conflict over the bio dad's involvement?

Something is starting to stink. MOO.

The article can be seen in entirety in my post, and the photo his eyes look like Maliyah's!
I agree 100% I thought what
a coincidence .
And if it was known the day before, when OB called, that he wanted to see her, that may explain him being notified in the way that he was.
Thanks for posting! I had a download glitch!

Just speculation but if Maliyah had visible signs of neglect or abuse, the non-custodial parent asking to spend that much in-depth time with her might have been concerning, because he might have recognized what was going on and perhaps tried to get full custody or get authorities involved. So it may have caused high stress levels that day inside the home.

Uh OH for sure. This is an absolute mess!

That, and the BF constantly referring to her as my baby. Drives me crazy!

There are many kinds of exploitation in this Go Fund Me, social media driven time--and pretending to be a parent of a child you've been around for 4 months is DEFINITELY one of them. This man has zero character and sense of integrity to be doing what he is doing, especially if he's using it to look for that lawyer he might need soon. MOO. So wrong.

Sorry, I missed that you posted the link - I'm a little sleep deprived from a knee injury.

Is this a case where Maliyah *had* to be reported missing because the bio dad was trying to see her? IOW, like others here have already asked, when was the last time anyone outside of mom, boyfriend (and maybe even boyfriend's mother) actually saw Maliyah?

That’s certainly a possibility. IIRC didn’t Maleah Davis’ father try to get her the day bf she was reported missing?
