This murder hurts my soul.
This was a lovely young lady who had only recently moved to Dallas, her parents and b.friend there and not long after they all left Maria's apartment, the animal struck.
This is personal, her family, boyfriend and her best friends are beyond upset, she was beautiful, so very sorry this happened.

15-year-old arrested in connection with serial rapes in northern Dallas
"DALLAS — A 15-year-old has been arrested in connection with three Dallas rapes, and police are investigating whether he was involved in the slaying of a 23-year-old woman at her Far North Dallas apartment this week.

The juvenile suspect was taken into custody without incident around 7 p.m. Thursday, police said, and booked into the Henry Wade Juvenile Center. His name is not being released because of his age.

The 15-year-old invoked his right to remain silent after his arrest, police said.

In each of the Dallas rapes, the attacker knocked on the victim’s door and asked for work or money. He then sexually assaulted the women after forcing his way into their homes and brandishing a weapon.

The most recent attack took place Oct. 30 at the Wildflower Apartments in the 6000 block of Pineland Drive in northeast Dallas. A child home at the time of the assault was unharmed, police said.

The previous two assaults took place at apartments less than a mile apart in Far North Dallas — on Sept. 12 in the 14200 block of Dallas Parkway and Sept. 19 in the 14100 block of Montfort Drive. Both victims were in their 20s.

Police said that DNA and physical evidence from those crimes link them to two similar sexual assaults committed in Bossier City, La., in March and April.

Additionally, police said Thursday night that they were working to determine whether the attacks were connected to a slaying not far from where the Far North Dallas rapes occurred. Authorities found Maria Ezquerro, 23, dead from “homicidal violence” at her apartment in the 5400 block of Peterson Lane around 9 p.m. Tuesday."

Reading the 2nd article, it states neighbors heard arguing coming from the apartment. They then heard the man she was dating trying to get into the apartment as it was locked. Once he got inside, he found her not breathing.

I'm wondering if the murder happened during or just before her boyfriend was at the door. It's very unclear. Would the perp have been able to lock the door and escape from the apartment another way or did he leave the apartment locked and leave via the front door?

If they try him as an adult he could get a capital murder charge, but I’m almost positive his being 15 would excuse him from Old Smokey or the needle, unfortunately. How scary and sad.

I hope the authorities get their wish and he'll be certified as an adult. He's young, but so was Maria. She deserves justice, and he deserves to pay in a huge way.
