• Nina came in and pushed him away
• He claims he fled and when he returned the place was spotless and the women said they took care of it
• The women are sharing attorneys
• Nina is out on bond!
• Affidavit reveals new details about slaying of Marisela Botello Valadez, the Seattle woman who went missing on trip to Dallas

Charles Anthony Beltran, who faces a capital murder charge, reportedly told detectives he fled the scene after waking up as a woman attacked Botello with a knife.

“According to the new affidavit, Beltran admitted meeting Botello in Deep Ellum and taking her to his home, where they had sex and fell asleep.

Beltran told detectives he woke up and saw Dykes on top of Botello, holding a knife and making a stabbing motion with one hand while holding Botello’s neck with her other hand. He said he pushed Dykes, knocking her and Botello to the floor, the affidavit says.

Marano then came into the room and shoved him out of the way, he said. Beltran said he left the room, got dressed and fled the home, according to the affidavit.


When he returned, the bedroom was “spotless” and the women told him everything had been taken care of, the affidavit says.

Police wrote that they think Marano and Dykes cleaned the crime scene and disposed of Botello’s body, leading to the additional charges.”

•Nina Marano, 49 Stroudsburg PA, was able to make the $600,000 bond.
•She has to wear an ankle monitor.
•Marano’s release from jail caught Valadez’s family off guard.
“I didn’t think that they would allow someone that has such serious charges to post bail, because that really makes me nervous that she’s going to even stay and comply or she’s going to run” said Dennessly Castillo, an aunt of the victim.

•An affidavit says Marano, Charles Beltran and Lisa Dykes were behind the murder and the attempt to hide Valadez’s body.
•Police say none of the three have cooperated and have moved since they were initially questioned.

That's the thing about having a lot of cash, it's very difficult for other people (or the court) to prove how much you have. This proclivity to having a lot of cash necessitates a willingness to defend it. Marisella doesn't strike me as the kind of person who might try to make off with a quarter million dollars in cash but under unusual circumstances, people can act unusually. It's not impossible (especially in Texas) that the killing might have been lawful though concealing it certainly was not.

Her Marriage to Bill!! She had the Cash & Savings from Bill(he was a Saver & a big car collector) she wasn’t that great of a lawyer. She abused him in the form of “Elder Abuse” and got Away with it

When your married for that long (even shorter) combined marital assets are 99.8% well deserved & appropriate. Nina ghosted Bills daughter & Her loving Family, not even to offer a keepsake to Bills kids, grandkids or Great grandkids!!! No one ever expected an inheritance but a keepsake or 2 I think would have gone a long way & her sincerity would have been realized BUT “EVERYTHING was HERS” if I’m Not mistaken, what Nina said!!!

Deleted. I read the newer version of Charles Beltran’s testimony. He probably did not kill Marisella, but he is still an accessory to murder. JMO.

Personally, I think he had something to do with the murder itself given his behavior and posts after the fact, waking up to your partner and friend (?) murdering someone next to you should tear you up and you run to the police, not come back and then act like a smug idiot. He was partying and making crap music like his song POI. Not buying it. I could definitely see LD having a heavy hand in the murder but he should not be cut any type of deal unless they find evidence like texts or something, in which case I don’t think he’d be charged with capital murder right now as well. Jmo though!
