I thought spousal privilege was totally waived if you are co-defendants alleged to be acting in concert OF ANY Crime that includes murder for sure

Well, I'm not nearly as quick as yall are! Hahaha. But I finally found it. I dont know why we can't link it, since it is public record. I found the address in the Affidavit for Arrest Warrant. It is on Kennsigton. Here is the link to the empty house photos

Here is my question... the photo with the 2 areas of missing carpet, I can tell from the Floorplan is the main bedroom. But I cannot place the other room with the missing carpet. I dont see a room with double doors across from another hallway type door. Can someone who is good at that stuff figure it out?

on god, i think they just took the pix after the investigation and had not yet replaced the carpet that the detectives removed... so eerie.

Ok, I think I figured it out. I think they are all the master. The pics that you can see the fireplace, you can see the double doors. That is the master. The door that looks like a hall is actually the bathroom. So all the missing carpet is in the master. A large part by the bathroom and a smaller part near the small exit to the room, possibly next to where the bed would be. Real interesting.

I thought they were all in the master as well until your original comment and I went back and took a closer look. I then realized there are no windows in the master at all, per the blueprints and the picture of the back of the master. In this picture, the French doors are on the left and the bathroom/closet door is on the right. The picture is facing the back wall of the master/house where there are no windows, so I don’t think the big missing section of carpet under the windows could have been in the master. I really think that larger chunk under the windows could be in the front right room that is below the master in the blueprint. There is the possibility that I’m all turned around or they forgot to put windows on the back wall in the master on the blueprint, but I find that kind of doubtful.

If they did take carpet from two rooms, that’s super interesting since only the master has been mentioned (to my knowledge/that I remember).

I’m also really disappointed these women are out on bail. Two thumbs down from me.

LE looking for POI Charles Beltrán. Beltran is not considered a suspect, but police want to speak with him because he was the last person seen with Botello. The red bbm appears on Beltran and Dyke's court record but not Marano. I understand this to mean those cases will be heard by the Grand Jury on 6/14 and of course, if all goes well, indictments will be issued. I'm wondering why Marano's doesn't show a GJ date though. So far, it is blank, but hopefully that changes today? MOO

Last seen on security footage appeared to show Botello leaving Select Start, a bar in the 2800 block of Elm Street, with a man about 1:15 a.m. Oct. 5 & that she last used her cellphone about 4 a.m. Her belongings are at her ex's house, no phone or banking activity. LE looking for POI Charles Beltrán. Beltran is not considered a suspect, but police want to speak with him because he was the last person seen with Botello. Botello missed her flight back to Seattle on 10/6/20.
According to the new affidavit, Beltran admitted meeting Botello in Deep Ellum & taking her to his home, where they had sex & fell asleep. Beltran told detectives he woke up & saw Dykes on top of Botello, holding a knife & making a stabbing motion with one hand while holding Botello’s neck with her other hand. He said he pushed Dykes, knocking her & Botello to the floor, the affidavit says. Marano then came into the room & shoved him out of the way, he said. Beltran said he left the room, got dressed & fled the home, according to the affidavit. When he returned, the bedroom was “spotless” & the women told him everything had been taken care of, the affidavit says.
4/2/21 Update: Beltran has been arrested near Salt Lake City, Utah on 4/2/21. Beltran was in West Jordan, Utah, a suburb of Salt Lake City & that they took him into custody without incident with the help of the U.S. Marshals North Texas Violent Fugitive Task Force & the West Jordan Police Dept. Dallas police said Beltran is expected to be charged with capital murder. He is in the Salt Lake County jail & waiting extradition. 4/22/21 Update: Extradited to Dallas County jail. Disposition hearing on 5/10/21.
5/10/21 Update: Grand jury hearing on 6/14/21.

Yes, and I just learned a new trick! You can search the District Attorney's page for the status of Grand Jury proceedings.

Go to this site: District Attorney | Home

1) Select Record Search (on the left)
2) Then, click on Case Status Reports
3) Choose Grand Jury Dispositions by Date Range in the middle of the page
4) Click on Continue for the Disclaimer
5) You should be on the screen entitled "Dallas County Public Information Act Reports"
6) Choose year 2021, month of June, and Grand Jury Disposition Report
7) From there you can ctrl+F and enter "Beltran" "Dykes" or "Marano" to search the report (or just scroll through it).

Police had arrested them on capital murder charges, but the grand jury returned murder indictments which carry a punishment ranging from 5 to 99 years in prison or a life sentence with the possibility of parole.

Capital murder is more severe and carries just two punishment options: life in prison without parole or the death penalty. In order to prove capital murder, prosecutors must be able to show the killing was committed during another crime like a burglary or a kidnapping.

Prosecutors chose to present the case as a murder instead of capital murder to the grand jury, said Tasha Tsiaperas, a spokeswoman for Dallas County District John Creuzot.

“It’s not uncommon that the law enforcement agency submits a charge that is evaluated by the intake prosecutors and then a different charge is presented to the grand jury,” Tsiaperas said. “Because the grand jury proceedings are secret, we can’t go into detail on what was presented in the case.”

Marano doesn’t yet have a lawyer listed in court records. Dykes’ attorney, Heath Harris, said he has yet to see all the evidence but anticipates he’ll soon receive it now that the case has been presented to a grand jury.
