Here is the text version of that KXAN story. Brother desperate for answers as search for missing Austin man continues

"Martin stayed out with a group of friends downtown. Mitchell believes his little brother was about to get a ride home, but never made it back."
I wonder what these friends have to say - where did they leave him? What shape was he in? What does it mean he was "about to get a ride home"? There's not a lot of good detail here.

Story from KVUE: 'I just want him home': Austin family's desperate plea for help finding missing 25-year-old

Who did he call for a ride? Did they come? Did all the friends go home - who saw him last, where did they see him, ... So many questions!

Martin's friends told Mitchell they last visited a bar called The Alibi before heading home.

"The last call that was made on his phone was, according to his phone records, at 1:27 a.m., calling for a ride," he said. "That's the last I heard about him or him being safe."

When Mitchell woke up Monday morning, he didn't find Martin in his room.

I agree. I'd like to hear what his friends say also. I hope there are businesses in the area with cameras that may have captured some footage that can help.

Were the people he was with long time friends? Out of those people, who would he have most likely gotten a ride from? There had to be cameras around...

I’m worried.

I'm worried too tiff. It reminds me a little of Mike VanZandt. He was in Hermosa Beach to see a UFC fight with friends. Afterwards, they were all hanging out at the pier and Mike went to find a bathroom and hasn't been seen since. I don't want this to have the same outcome. :-(

Ugh it looks like this bar is right next to the lake.....hope I'm wrong. Maybe there's a local here with insight on distance and accessibility?

Family is out searching the area and offering a $5000 reward

It's near Town Lake, but not at all right next to it.

Robust Search For Missing Austin Man Launched

"Right now, we don't have any true strong leads. we've got some great tips from the public," the detective [Det. Brad Herries] said. "That's what we're working on right now. But right now, we're just going on location. This is a nearby area, so we're starting here."

Police also have no reason to believe foul play was involved, Herries said, but the circumstances surrounding the man's disappearance are unknown: "We don't have a true understanding of what happened that night, and where' he's at today. We really don't understand why he's not accounted for at this point," he conceded. "We're looking everywhere."
