Kyle, TEXAS (KXAN) — Testimony continued Friday in what is expected to be a roughly two-week-long trial in Hays County to determine if Stevie Dwayne Williams killed his two-year-old son, Mason. The young boy’s mother, Dazrine Ruth Chagoya-Williams, is also facing capital murder charges.

Body camera footage of a Kyle Police Department detective’s interview with Stevie following the boy’s death took up much of Friday morning. In it, Stevie told police that something “evil” was behind his son’s death.

10/18/21 Monday Trial Day 4: State witnesses: A nurse (no name given) who treated Mason for routine & as-needed appointments over the last year of his life. Video testimony (from 2017) of Dazrine Williams. Jurors saw the video revealing claims of hospital conspiracies, a malevolent stranger in a park & possibly unknown abuse by a family member. Det. Joseph Swonk. Prosecutors reviewed several text messages exchanged between Stevie & Dazrine, both before & after Mason’s death — shedding light on what Stevie may have been feeling in the months before. Further phone records obtained by Kyle police showed that both Stevie & Dazrine made calls to their parents before calling 911 to report the death about 12 minutes later. Pediatrician Dr. Marion Forbes. She’s expected to finish her testimony on Tuesday. The prosecution will likely wrap up with final witnesses on Tuesday. Trial continues on 10/19/21.

That detective had pulled phone records, search records & photos and videos off of both Stevie & Dazrine’s phones during his investigation in 2018. The adopted dad for the couple’s youngest daughter. 10/20/21 Wednesday Trial Day 6: The State rested their case. The defense did not bring additional witnesses or evidence forward before resting its case. Stevie did not testify. During closing arguments Wednesday afternoon, the defense argued the state hadn’t proven without a reasonable doubt that it was actually Stevie & not Stevie’s wife, who was responsible for the boy’s murder. Trial continues on 10/21/21 with jury deliberations.

SAN MARCOS, Texas (KXAN) — A Hays County jury found Stevie Dwayne Williams guilty of capital murder in the death of his 2-year-old son, Mason, after the boy was found squeezed to death in 2018. Williams will spend life in prison without the possibility of parole. The jury deliberated for roughly eight hours.

I'm guessing that he got sentenced the same day?

Prior CPS reports; 8 mo. old taken by CPS. 8-month-old daughter was injured too; the infant was taken to a local hospital & found to have multiple rib fractures, a skull fracture & a lacerated kidney.

Jury picks begin for Kyle mom charged in son's death

"A jury will decide over the next couple of weeks whether Dazrine Chagoya-Williams — the young Kyle mother charged for her alleged role in her two-year-old son’s death — is guilty of capital murder.

Stevie Dwayne Williams, Chagoya-Williams’ husband and Mason’s father, was found guilty of capital murder in October for his involvement in the young boy’s death. He repeatedly told police it was “demons” who killed the young boy, according to body camera video shown in court.

Chagoya-Williams will now face a jury for her alleged role. After being postponed, her trial starts Monday, April 25."
