That looks to be a tad close to Papaw's
place.

Just looked that up on Google maps. 2.7 miles or 4 minutes. Much closer than I would have thought.
I agree. I can't think of any other reason he would take that chance.I totally believe that this gentleman knows something. He's a career criminal. He contacted y'all and law enforcement because he was compelled to get something off his chest. He went and met with LE knowing he had an outstanding warrant, and his chances were huge for being taken into custody. And he had a gun on him.
People like him don't seek out the cops. They run the other way. He had a gun on him for protection, because he was afraid. Afraid of who he was going to meet with. I believe that 100%.
I think BD was involved in some way, and was trying to do the right thing in his own way. And he got shut down, and is going back to prison for his efforts.

Was this where a specific person told searchers to go?A search was conducted there. I was told they found a well and there was nothing found but snakes

Is the owner of this property unconnected?Yes. BD

No. I don't think they're trying to pin this on BD. I think they're trying to shut him up because of what he knows. I could be wrong. But based on appearance and my resources of those who know him that's my conclusion.

I think that's a logical conclusion. The timing of his arrest is suspicious. It's too bad he gets thrown in jail when trying to do the right thing. Very suspect. Hopefully the same result, or worse doesn't happen to others that may be trying to help.
Let me reword: Was the owner of the property interviewed, and was the area that BD took them to, right off the road or would someone need to know where to look to locate it?Yes. BD

I meant to name steel54. But, initially I was bouncing off on your part of the statement too.

There's also a junk yard near MC's house, also. That peaks of interest, too.

That is sad. When the family really need to pull together and one is left on the outside looking in. That is sad if that was an intentional move to separate the siblings. Do you know if he appeared in court for the p.o? Or was this done in absentia also?

Your post kicked me into mine! Forgive me if this was mentioned before. Props to any previous poster in these 3 threads. We know they did searches. We do not know how big they were, do we?
On top of that, the searches were for a missing man. Did any (sorry) cadaver dogs take part in any of those searches? Should the PI be asked to bring those types of dogs into any searches held now? I don't know how any of that works, but I truly believe this is a recovery operation. I do not know a better way to say that. Someone needs to get the permissions to make more searching a priority. With the proper tools as required. All MHO as always.
