Law abiding citizens rarely know the inside scoop on criminal activities. I too think you are correct.

I sincerely hope she is not involved directly, even though her words and actions indirectly could have caused it. I don't know why, I feel this way. But, it almost seems too easy. Then again I personally think maybe her actions may speak loudly on many parts of this case. The biggest pause for me is the finances. That no matter what still concern me.

I understand many live paycheck to paycheck, Lord knows I do at times; however, I think ahead but I don't start getting rid of things. We may rest easier sometimes if we did, but I wait yo make sure I'm making sound decisions. We went down to one vehicle after I lost my job, but we wrestled with it for 6 months or so. I understand what one of our VI's stated but I still think that it almost seems like money was going out very quickly. I wonder if there could have been a large loan that would have taken a huge chunk of money or was a debt that needed to be paid quickly. Online gambling, big vacations, excessive shopping. Grasping at straws I know. Just trying to make sense of that money. I may have sold my car with payments and drove the gift car. 1. The gift car would make me feel closer to him. 2. Everything that seemed special to him is gone, he's things would be harder to replace if he returned. That would be like he is an 18 y/o with no credit, which is essentially what would happen. He couldn't just open the door and go back to his normal life. Outside of peoples hearts and minds, he doesn't exist legally. I don't think I could. This is of course my opinion only.

Has the family ever heard the entire 911 call?

That looks to be a tad close to Papaw's
place.

Just looked that up on Google maps. 2.7 miles or 4 minutes. Much closer than I would have thought.

A search was conducted there. I was told they found a well and there was nothing found but snakes

I totally believe that this gentleman knows something. He's a career criminal. He contacted y'all and law enforcement because he was compelled to get something off his chest. He went and met with LE knowing he had an outstanding warrant, and his chances were huge for being taken into custody. And he had a gun on him.

People like him don't seek out the cops. They run the other way. He had a gun on him for protection, because he was afraid. Afraid of who he was going to meet with. I believe that 100%.

I think BD was involved in some way, and was trying to do the right thing in his own way. And he got shut down, and is going back to prison for his efforts.

I agree. I can't think of any other reason he would take that chance.

Was this where a specific person told searchers to go?

Is the owner of this property unconnected?

No. I don't think they're trying to pin this on BD. I think they're trying to shut him up because of what he knows. I could be wrong. But based on appearance and my resources of those who know him that's my conclusion.

I think that's a logical conclusion. The timing of his arrest is suspicious. It's too bad he gets thrown in jail when trying to do the right thing. Very suspect. Hopefully the same result, or worse doesn't happen to others that may be trying to help.

I don't know. All I know is that the location is what BD said and I was told they conducted a search.

Well I know when someone spoke out against A certain individual, directly to her via text message that person filed a PO and was some how able to achieve it for 2 years. That's all I will say about that!!!

Let me reword: Was the owner of the property interviewed, and was the area that BD took them to, right off the road or would someone need to know where to look to locate it?

Hi Steel54,

Thank you so much for joining us and taking the time to answer all of our questions. I, too, want PaPaw found and brought back to his family NOW. And if the person(s) responsible for his disappearance thinks we are going to give up or go away, they couldn't be more wrong.

So, my questions:

1. It has been said one of PaPaw's and BC's sons accompanied her to her probate lawyer's office to discuss obtaining a death certificate, letters of testementary, etc. Is this your understanding as well, and if so, is the son -to the best of your knowledge- supportive of BC's decision to have PaPaw declared deceased? SLC has already said -to paraphrase- she was never supportive of this decision, and I don't believe CH is, either; I am just curious as to whether there is anyone within the family who understands and/or agrees with BC's decision at this point.

2. Are you aware of any financial difficulties PaPaw and BC might have been experiencing prior to his disappearance? I am not quite convinced of the supposed loss of income on the part of BC:
1) At first, it was explained BC decided to have PaPaw declared deceased because a certain DROP-related form -that required PaPaw's signature- had not been returned to the pension board in time, due to which payments would become semi-annual.

2) According to the information found on the pension board's website, we found out that in fact a request had to be made for the DROP payments to change to semi-annual from monthly, contradicting the explanation BC had given our VI.

3) In one of her most recent posts, our VI said the payments had actually gone semi-annual (but BC wanted them to go back to month-to-month), which indicates to me that after all, the distribution form had been mailed back with PaPaw's signature on it. This, too, is in direct conflict with what BC initially told our VI, IMO.

Thanks again, and yes, please be careful!

I meant to name steel54. But, initially I was bouncing off on your part of the statement too.

Steel is probably limited on what he can say regarding the PO. Considering what happened to BD, Steel probably has to be careful how he words things.

There's also a junk yard near MC's house, also. That peaks of interest, too.

Your post kicked me into mine! Forgive me if this was mentioned before. Props to any previous poster in these 3 threads. We know they did searches. We do not know how big they were, do we?

On top of that, the searches were for a missing man. Did any (sorry) cadaver dogs take part in any of those searches? Should the PI be asked to bring those types of dogs into any searches held now? I don't know how any of that works, but I truly believe this is a recovery operation. I do not know a better way to say that. Someone needs to get the permissions to make more searching a priority. With the proper tools as required. All MHO as always.

That is sad. When the family really need to pull together and one is left on the outside looking in. That is sad if that was an intentional move to separate the siblings. Do you know if he appeared in court for the p.o? Or was this done in absentia also?

He appeared in court. From what he told me it was one of the most embarrassing days he's ever experienced.

Personally, everything that's been searched needs to be gone over again by some really skilled folks. I'm not downing EquuSearch. They're amazing. Or the dogs from TDCJ. But they can only work with what they're given in the way of information. I feel like at least one of these searches took us very close to this man.

When the Rancho area was searched, who searched? How many people were there? Did they do arm to arm, or just walk around and kick a few rocks, and call it done? Were there dogs there? Air support accompanying the ground search?

About this well.... What kind of well? I'm assuming an abandoned water well. In ground or above ground? Covered or uncovered? How deep is it? Did they lower a camera or sonar into it?

And these snakes.... little unusual since NTX has had quite a bit of rain this year. You'd think that this well would have a little residual water in it, which would displace snakes. Very odd for snakes to be down in a well - provided that the well has any depth to it.

Were any family members present for the search? Was the PI? (I know that the PI was present for EquuSearch.) What deputies were present from HCSO?
