Been following this case since the beginning and just have one question for now. There has been a lot of speculation on the blood from the video. I can’t find where it was confirmed that this was the actual pictures or a reconstructed version. Did I miss something? I don’t see that the crime scene pictures have been released.
The grease spot on the floor matches so I believe it is his shop. It seems unlikely to me that they could have come in there to recreate the scene. Right?

The first image is from the video. The second is from the real estate listing. It looks like the camera is facing opposite directions but the same grease spot.
Looks a little different without the car inside and other equipment moved around.

I agree. It’s hard to imagine a recreation down to a grease spot.

Even though I haven't seen it absolutely confirmed yet, I believe the blood in the video is the actual blood drop trail in MC's shop. I also THINK the dowel shown in the program was the real one, but not certain of that.

I'm also not certain the wallet and keys shown in the program were MC's actual ones.

I think they might’ve used a picture of MC’s wallet and keys for the program because it was available.

Could the phone been traveling by a guy paddling a boat?

If they had access to the photos of the scene from HCSO showing the blood, that makes me think it is also a photo of his wallet and keys found there.

My theory has been the phone traveled by boat. It is the only thing I think can be normal at 4.5 mph. Its actually slow for a boat but when you load a boat down more weight it can prevent the motor from planing the boat and make for a slow trip. However a boat going slow is also fairly normal for fishing. As I think of them spending 5 hrs going across the lake to reach a particular point like the bridge, that is a long time but about average for folks who are really fishing and don't want to draw attention to themselves. I have fished before like that, going really slowly and spending several hours. Still you would have to have nerves of steel if you had just murdered someone. I guess it could just be one guy if he only had the phone but why go to that kind of effort to get rid of just the phone?
It's odd that the phone was on that whole time.

I had a thought I wanted to get out here after watching the Theft Report interview again. If you believe SM, he said 4 dogs all tracked MC across the road to the culvert on 2101. He seemed to be speaking of not just his scent but blood because the interviewer asked if the blood would be too small for the dogs to track and SM said No, dogs could track even a small amount of blood and 4 tracked him to the culvert. Anyway as we have speculated that he was loaded into a vehicle at the shop, not sure how the dogs hitting across the road squares with that.

At this point, I can't be sure about anything concerning the phone travel.
Without MC’s phone records any ping or GPS information doesn’t mean much. He could’ve tossed the phone on a bulldozer on its way to the bridge.

Makes me think that Klein really has his work cut out for him. He's had to start from square one and probably can't take anything HCSO says as fact. I'm pretty sure he said something similar to that in the interview posted here a while back. They're doing their investigation and he's doing is. It's a good thing someone else is working on this case, or I'm afraid this family would never get to the truth about what happened.

Honestly this makes the most sense of anything I've heard yet.

I always assumed that the dogs hitting on that spot was irrelevant considering the mailbox is across the street right next to the culvert. He could have checked the mail earlier before he went to walmart which would explain his scent being picked up. BUT, if they were talking about blood scent, that does put a different spin on things.

I'd suspect your first inclination is correct. All I've ever heard or read was there was no blood whatsoever outside the shop, though I suppose one couldn't rule out 100% that there could have been a tiny speck somewhere. Sheriff Meeks seems known for misspeaking, so there's that :)

The only thing that makes me.kind of believe the gps info is because Klein also referenced it in the video interview, right? Like he had the info. Not that he took the word from police.

IIRC the info originally came from another source....not HCSO. Sheriff stated they obtained that info also, just like Klein did. I could be wrong, my memory isn't always accurate!

The only thing is that what we have heard about no blood found outside the shop was based on people looking. Dogs find evidence people cannot see. Doesn't mean we can trust what SM said, but just because they didn't see the blood trail continue outside the shop doesn't mean it didn't.

Very true! Bumping for Papaw and hoping the June 17th show about him on ID channel brings more info and progress. I was so hoping BC might have broken her silence by now...:(

I hope the ID show has some new info but I have my doubts as they were taping in Feb.I haven't watched a lot of of episodes of disappeared but the ones I have watched on cases I'm familiar with seem to be pretty basic info already known just to spread the word to more people about the missing person.

SM’s bombshell about MC’s possible suicide bike ride makes me think the ID show will deliver new info-maybe not much-but something made SM put his theory out there so soon after the show taped. Maybe he was getting ahead of their story. At this point I’m suspicious of everything.
