Let's see - well firstly, she didn't flee from Austin, she was just upset and worried so she went to visit her sister. Then, her sister suggested that she should "get away from it all", and thought that CR might be nice. Next, said sister pressed her own passport upon KA, because . . . . er . . um. How does this grab you?

The first part seems plausible for the defense to argue, it would be natural to go stay with her sister under circumstances if she wasn't guilty. But selling her car is a problem.

It seems to me that all of the items described as found by LE in KA's possession in Costa Rica, were most likely related to her "unlawful flight," and don't necessarily point to premeditation of the murder. The murder of MW happened on May 11th and KA left Austin to go to New York on May 14th. Then she left New Jersey airport on May 18th, one day after the arrest warrant was issued for her. I think that during the 4 days she travelled to be with her sister, she came up with the plan and gathered the documents/info she would need to take with her as she left the country. She also was putting together information/documents she would need as she prepared to leave Austin during the 4 day period from May 11 to May 14. LE took her cell phone, so writing out information on pieces of paper make sense. She would need telephone numbers, financial information, etc., and credit cards to pay for this flight.

I think if this all was premeditated in relation to the murder of MW, she would have had more cash at the ready and more things packed and ready to go. Probably not so many aliases, either.

I can see KA working on her aliases, etc. while at the upper New York state camp while she was with her sister. I don't think, however, that any of this is related to premeditation of murder of MW. I think that the murder of MW by KA was a crime of passion, and related that night to CS's actions that including lying texts, etc.

IMO, the only argument for premeditation that can be definitively made based on the evidence that we know about so far is the fact that she had a gun with her that night. But now CS has given an explanation for how that could have come about, that she kept it in the car due to an unsettling incident of road rage in winter of 2021. It was so unsettling, that he went out and bought her a gun.

Probably not so many aliases, either.” Very possibly you are correct but I don’t think it crossed her mind that the police would suspect her. She does not seem to be the most logical thinker. So in that case there would be no need for her to be prepared to run. I believe in her mind, she was simply going to remove the threat to her lifestyle, identity and relationship by killing MW and then she was just gonna resume life as she knew it - right there living with CS. Crazy but - that is the essence of it. She really isn’t “all there”. Imo.

I, on the other hand, not only think she's "all there" but too much all there. CS for quite a while looked like the odd one in the relationship. Now to me they have revealed the nexus of their pairing: a strong individual & quite subversive desire to protect "me, myself and I" while projecting a somewhat different face to the world. I think some label that narcissism. Whatever you label it, it's extremely toxic because a remarkable young woman full of promise is dead.

KA is no celebrity.
She murdered a young, healthy ,vibrant woman who could of had a wonderful career, family & future. Mo’s mark could of changed and enhanced who knows how many lives.

KA is not a nation-known athlete. MW had the makings of such, but it her talent went to the grave, courtesy of KA. However, OJ did not “prevail”. He lost in civil trial. He lost his money. He was jailed for 9 years that weird LV robbery. He totally ruined his reputation. Wherever he settled, it ended up with some scandals, because OJ did nothing to change himself.

Practical question. Her attorney took the case for publicity. But now all the public interest went to another case, the disappearance or Eliza Fletcher. Can the vacation be strategically planned, or is it good for KA that another person dragged attention away from her case? Sorry for bluntness, I just want to know how top-notch attorneys operate and think.

I wouldn’t read too much into it. We don’t know whose notice this is. Could be the judge’s for all we know. I also don’t think it matters that another case is now headline news. Not much to report on at this time re KA’s case. News will pick up again once discovery ramps up in this case. There are two hearings coming up and those will of course be heavily reported on.
