But for the yoga mat LOL

Priceless comment by Teal:
“We’re both a little weird, in different ways.”

Did I miss it or did they totally skip the "borrowing" of her sister's passport? I heard them mention NY but just in passing.

yah Teal is a true spokesman!!

You're right! I didn't hear anything about it either.

There Teal goes again. ‘Kait…(quick correction)..Kaitlin.’

Hmmmmmm

Yes I caught that too! Makes one wonder...

Also that whole thing about how we're all God's lost children. WTF man.

ok there it is about the passport.
Cofer: “Separate legal issue”
“It would not be appropriate for me to comment“.

How convenient that Colfer won't talk about the use of the sister's passport. He must think he can get that evidence banned from her murder trial.

  • #391
Sooo curious how Colfer knows the "exact time" Mo was killed (and that KA was not there at that time).

I look forward to revisiting this video clip when she is found guilty.
Me too! He sounds so smug in that video! I doubt she was anywhere else but at the crime scene at the time of Mo’s murder.

And dang, I’m late to the party. I missed the Dateline show!

All in all, a good Dateline episode.

Cofer looks the perfect legal nerd in his blue suit and red tie.

  • #394
Really liked how they ended Dateline with it all about Mo and the life not yet lived

  • #395
Agree that was one of the best Datelines I have seen, they stuck to the facts for the most part

I haven’t followed this case in a while but that dude is slick. He can talk a game with the best of them.

So, according to Cofer on Dateline tonight, KA sold her car and fled, not because she had done anything, but bc she feared that CS may be a murderer. Oooooookay.

I have to say, he certainly exudes an air of confidence, and talks a good game, but I'm not sure that he even really believes that he is gonna be able to get a jury to buy what he is gonna try to sell in this case. I thought Keith Morrison was about to laugh at him once.

ETA....Every time I see Cofer, he looks like the spitting image of Christopher Reeve, dressed as Clark Kent, in the Superman movie. I kept waiting for him to duck out of the interview, and come back in with tights and a cape. He may need to be Superman to get KA acquitted. JMO

That’s funny you say he reminds you of Clark Kent! I’ve always thought that too, but I didn’t want to say it because I like Clark Kent! Lol

I wouldn't put it out of the realm of possibility that the exact time of MW's death is known due to her wearing an Apple Watch or some device that tracks her heart rate. It's also known she had GPS tracking on her phone - part of how KA is supposed to have tracked her - and I'd think that her GPS record would also give a good indication as to her time of death.

Keith Morrison was interviewed by an Austin NBC affiliate and this is what he said about Colfer:

(sorry about the CAPS -- I copied YouTube's transcript, but made some corrections to it)

>> IN YOUR STORY [KEITH], IT'S MY UNDERSTANDING YOU SPOKE TO THE ATTORNEY FOR THE MURDER SUSPECT KAITLIN ARMSTRONG. WHAT DID HE SUGGEST ABOUT NEW EVIDENCE COMING INTO THIS THAT MIGHT WORK IN HER FAVOR?

2:23
HE PRESENTED A VERY KIND OF AGGRESSIVE APPROACH SAYING WAIT A MINUTE. YOU KNOW 98% OF WHAT YOU HEARD IS TRUE MAY NOT BE TRUE AT ALL. THAT THERE IS A KIND OF A MISOGYNISTIC [BENT] TO A LOT OF THE REPORTING ON THIS STORY AND A LOT OF THE ATTITUDES POLICE MAY HAVE HAD ABOUT THIS STORY.

HE IS ALSO CLAIMING THAT MUCH OF THE MATERIAL POLICE HAVE PRESENTED IN PUBLIC AS FACT IS NOT FACTUAL. THE TIMING MAY BE OFF. THAT HE MAY HAVE EVIDENCE TO PRESENT -- ALTHOUGH GETTING HIM [PINNED] DOWN ON THAT ONE IS A TRICKY BUSINESS -- THAT HE MAY HAVE [EVIDENCE TO] PRESENT [THAT] SHOWS THE CRIME DIDN'T HAPPEN WHEN THE POLICE CLAIMED IT HAPPENED AND IF IT DIDN'T HAPPEN THEN THEN HIS CLIENT COULD[N'T] HAVE DONE IT BECAUSE YOU CAN'T BE IN 2 PLACES AT ONCE.

WE'LL SEE BUT HE DOES PRESENT AN INTERESTING ARGUMENT THAT [IS] CERTAIN[LY WORTH] LISTENING TO.
