And the police comment was that they 'never lost sight of her'. I'm guessing they did after she made it over the fence, but I'm glad they found her. She's quite a piece of work.
She knows that neighborhood, too. It's her old haunts.

They didn't search her before she left the building? If an orthopedic appointment, no one saw she was wearing pants under pants? And she got a special "no shackles" appointment?

This is ridiculous.
I’ve done a lot of reading this am. I get the feeling that that county and the DA are more concerned with the rights and liberties of alleged criminals and convicted criminals than it is for its citizens and their safety. JMO

I agree. MOO is that she manipulated everyone. There are specific rules to follow when transporting criminals, and it seems to me that almost every single one was not followed here.

Those rules are set, to protect officers and others from the manipulation that criminals thrive on. It is a good lesson, and should probably be part of new officer training classes.

MW is an attractive young woman, who no doubt used her looks and charm to manipulate not only the officers but also the medical provider for the jail. I would suggest that she only be transported by older, female officers, who probably wouldn't be as susceptible to her charm. She probably flirted with the officers, pretended to conspicuously limp, probably staggered once or twice, "bumping" into one of the officers, then the other one, while batting her eyelashes. Classic criminal behavior.

The planning for this latest event seems to back up my opinion that the Bo tox theft was planned .

They must have seen her working out in the yard, though, since she evidently prepped physically for months. I don't think if you worked out a lot, you could maintain a fiction that you're injured: your body would indicate otherwise. I mean, for instance, you can't fake a limp at the same time as you're training sprints. I don't believe your intention to maintain the fake injury will hold up when you go all out.

So, any fake injury would be conspicuously fake. IMO

Imagine what kind of a person you'd have to be to steal botox sessions. It's not like stealing food because you're hungry, or even stealing a bauble to sell for drugs. Botox is a way out there vanity kind of thing, mostly for people who have lots of cash, can afford time to hang out at the pool, or are the weather woman on TV. It's totally not in her league, and it's "self-improvement". Yet that's what she's stealing...

These are my thoughts as well. There are reports she has been seen exercising vigorously for weeks. Knowing she was a flight risk, wouldn’t that have tipped them off? The prosecution has requested her medical records, jail surveillance and I hope they have also requested her jail house calls and internet activity.

It's weird they couldn't even tase her? Or maybe tasers won't go that far?

This detail is giving me the guilty thought that I could get extremely fit by simply running around the confines of my yard, and instead I'm sitting on my butt exercising my fingers.... Heck, I could be sprinting like that while being holed up for the winter? I'd like KA's workout plan.

She may have had a great exercise plan, but I really want to know what her plans were for survival out on the run. I mean, obviously the girl is resourceful, but where was she going to live, where was she going to ger her meals without being recognized? Was someone going to help her?

What about selling your car to get a nose job AFTER you murdered someone ?!
IMO her -Ilk- live for the moment, only themselves & instant gratification with no conscience or empathy. Almost always insecure, jealous, revengeful and toxic.
Deadly in this case.

You, no doubt @RickshawFan, would be running and thinking of helping others.
THIS ONE, only thinks of herself.

Right? What if she wasn't able to get the cuffs off?! She could head to a homeless shelter, women's shelter, but she'd probably be recognized.

I believe she did have everything figured out (at least in her mind). There is no way she would have done all that, and gotten so far, without the next steps figured out. And yes, I believe having someone ready to help her was part of it.

And this attempted escape is probably why she didn’t accept the plea deal against her attorney’s advice. She’s been planning this run for awhile. Why accept a plea if you are planning to escape?

I picture this scene as a classic "Barney Fife" moment. They were so Stunned she started sprinting away, they probably fumbled and bumbled a bit. I am glad that they caught her. Kudos on the recovery response.

10 minutes is quite a long time in some circumstances ( I'm thinking of a dentist's chair here!) She could very easily have got clear away IMO.

I bet CS is glad she didn't.

It was crazy. I really want to know why she did it as clearly she planned it.

I wonder about her relationship with her defense team/attorney, and if she is getting adequate representation. Just speculating, but with the gag order in place, it's hard to know.

Hmmmm, sweet of you to say..... my zippy response: a robust workout plan would only benefit me!

But yep, KA is driven by vanity. She might actually not have thought about how she was going to eat or keep herself while on the run. But she had thought about what she would look like, namely ditch the stripers.

I hope they make her wear paper underwear and lose her privileges to buy yoga pants.

She has that super high end defense attorney.
