Have any reporters observed the expression on Kaitlin Armstrong during the testimony of the friend who found the body?
Probably darting her eyes to where all the EXITS are….

IMO

I am going to be starting a new thread for today's #KaitlinArmstrong Murder trial for everything that happens after lunch recess. It will help keep things nice and tidy. You'll see that new thread coming soon.

On the day of Wilson’s death, the prosecution said Strickland and Wilson arranged to go swimming together at Deep Eddy pool. Strickland had told Armstrong he was running errands across town. It was then that Wilson gave Colin the apartment address where she was staying. And since Armstrong allegedly had access to all of Colin’s text messages, she obtained the address also.

State's redirect - moo

The state re-calls Caitlin Cash back to the witness stand. Asks if she is familiar with Mo's treatment for cleaning her bike. Mo would clean it after every heavy ride and before putting it back in a bag. Bike costs somewhere between $10k-$13k.

Now looking at a picture of a stick of gum, found sitting on pantry. Cash said that this was out-of-place when she came upon murder scene. Not sure where this gum fits into the grand scheme of questioning, but state is going hard on questioning about it.

Joining others who are so curious about what her sister will say about the passport. If she says she gave it to her, is that de facto confessing to aiding and abetting? Or will there be some dubious story about “well, she knew where I kept it …”

Next Witness: Martin Salinas, former APD officer.Salinas was a patrol officer in Central East Austin on the night of the murder. He had graduated from the police academy about three months prior to murder.

Cash has been released after the defense made it clear that the gum could have belonged to either Cash or Armstrong. Who owns the gum!?

Is KA's sister going to testify? Very curious about how KA got her passport.
I’m curious as well. It’s my understanding that shortly after KA arrived in NY a new ID was issued under KA’s sisters name. Kristina’s last known address was in California. KA used a fraudulent passport which belonged to her sister. Was her sister aware of it?

Salinas was on patrol with his field training officer (FTO), who typically rides with new graduates for about three months until they can patrol on their own.Recounting night of the murder: Dispatch told Salinas and FTO to head to scene for "check welfare urgent."

  • #276
Dispatch then relayed that CPR was in progress, call was upgraded to a "hotshot" call, responding with lights and sirens.Salinas says he had trouble finding the apartment (The note has entry only through a hidden back driveway and is above a garage). That delayed responders.

DBM

WRONG TRIAL LOL

Upon entering, Salinas saw two legs sticking out from the doorframe. He could hear Cash begging for help. Salinas helped provide CPR to Wilson. Salinas says it was a difficult scene to walk into.

  • #279
While administering CPR, he noticed a brass shell casing on the ground beside Wilson's body. As he was performing CPR, EMS arrived on scene. They told him to stop giving CPR so they could take over. Cash at this time was with the FTO. Salinas now saw several spent shell casings.

As the first officer on scene, Salina's responsibility was to call homicide detectives. The apartment and alley was turned into a crime scene. Salinas spoke to Cash, who was "in shock & disbelief."Salinas asked her name, information, victim's name, information. She cooperated.
