Defense opens: it's a privilege to represent Kaitlin.

Really?

How about a duty? Justice requires a vigorous defense....

But a privilege?

Yuck.

JMO

Of course! Goes with the "entitlement" personality of his client:

I'm entitled to free Botox
I'm entitled to use Christine's PP
I'm entitled to go to ortho appt w/o leg shackles...

I don't think the jury is buying any of this...nothing!

  • #123
Defense is having to READ & TuRN pages
of his closing…what the?!
I think it’s going to take jury just long enough to do the Guilty paperwork!

Data data blah blah..data

JMO
Yeah, I was predicting it may take the jury about 6 hours to reach a verdict. I now think it may be as little as 2 or 3.

OK so if I'm following his terrible argument, he is suggesting KA didn't have her Jeep that night (and CS was driving it because once upon a time he owned a black SUV, LOL) but then she took her Jeep to an appointment at Spa 7 (and while she was inside the building with her phone, her Jeep was being driven around the parking garage, LOL).

I find it so strange that the defense continues to say "jealous psychopath" over and over. I don't recall the Prosecutor using that term.
A defense gift to the state !

Why is he going on and on about Colin? We don’t even need Colin to convict her after all the data and the rest of the testimony.

  • #127
I have less respect for KA than I've ever had and I didn't think that was possible.

She must be reveling in this.

At least it's so outrageous, so absurd, so counter-evidence that it's just bluster. But so cruel.

I'm disgusted.

oh yea, back to the scenario where KA jeep, gun and phone were taken from her home while she was in CS mom's car at that spa appointment

  • #129
Do we think Colin is watching this? He must be going out of his mind.
I trust he's prepared for this by now.

And I can't shake the feeling this is by special request of KA -- 'make sure you call him out, dammit!'

'I did this for him."

This is utterly ridiculous and makes zero sense!

  • #131
It is normal to poll the audience in a courtroom during a closing argument? WTF is going on here.

  • #132
What? Profanity from the defense? Wow.

Cable locks didn't kill Mo.

That pesky jeep... the jeep did it!

Yeah, I'm totally not following where this guy is going with this argument.

Planting the seed of doubt so it's a mistrial?

They might have time for a bathroom break before a verdict is reached. :) They'll take a vote at the start of deliberations and have a verdict right off the bat.

This guy's might as well be Stretch Armstrong considering how much of a stretch this theory is.

Is he really trying to say CS is a stronger suspect? MOO but it would have been more persuasive to focus on a random stranger than someone who has a rock solid alibi.

Did KA request her attorney attempt to trash CS in the closing statement? This is embarrassing.

…and the dish ran away with the spoon

The puppy is being kneaded to death wherever CS is watching or listening to this bull.

By request! KA paid for those words...
