Now I'm seeing some passion from Cofer... and it's just because of his obvious disdain for law enforcement.

He makes light of her running away at Dr appt.
He says big deal , why are we even here?

ETA:
He’s like a burnt pork chop stuck to the pan right now…

They might have time for a bathroom break before a verdict is reached. :) They'll take a vote at the start of deliberations and have a verdict right off the bat.
I agree, but they may sit in the deliberation room for a while, to give the appearance that they are still going over things. We did that once on a civil trial I was on. We immediately polled the jury and we all said guilty, but we didn't want to immediately go back into the courtroom, and give the impression that we had not taken our duty seriously. Most of our conversation was about how long we needed to sit there before we went back in.JMO

OMG the person that killed MW might want to kill KA so that's why she ran.. AND got a nose job? Okay..

Or she was worried that Colin did it and would kill her next?

Trying to recall how long the Murdaugh case took. Decision within an hour or two?

If the defense really thought their client was innocent and that the evidence would point away from her, then why didn't they request that the Jeep DNA be tested? Why didn't they demand the rape kit be forensically analyzed?

Comparing closing argument styles...moo

The prosecutor's PowerPoint had facts and concrete information. Confidence. Focus. Cohesion.

The defense is very chaotic and desperate. It's emotional in a negative way. Almost defensive. Dismissive of respect and facts. Strange phrasing. Ineffective.

Same here on a criminal. Polled unanimously, cried, debriefed/supported each other, went over our notes + exhibits, then filled paperwork out slowwwwwly. Love with them. Huge responsibility. I think they’ll get it right.

@alcaprari23

Kaitlin Armstrong enters the courtroom. She is wearing a black pantsuit and dark teal blouse. She does not make eye contact with anyone as she enters. She takes her seat at the defense table. Two rows behind her sits her parents and her sister, Christine.

Teal, get it? She's wearing a fantasy reminder of the days when she successfully escaped authorities (at least, for a while). She's never gonna get to wear teal again...

I will always think of this case in regards to one of my favorite colors.
Justice for Mo.

yea, Cofer, the detectives regular focus on and try to prosecute someone they don't think really did the crime, just because they don't like them as much as the one (CS) that they know really did it

  • #177
This defense attorney is as obsessed with CS as KA is. Odd.

Hey I learned a new word!

scintilla - a tiny trace or spark of a specified quality or feeling.

Cofer is doing a great job with what he has. He's not doing himself any favors by being such a jerk though. I hope no one is buying this BS.

Wrongful convictions? Mysteries?
